It is shown that the convenient processing facilities of digital signals that varying in a finite range of amplitudes are non-binary Galois fields, the numbers of which elements are equal to prime numbers. Within choosing a sampling interval which corresponding to such a Galois field, it becomes possible to construct a Galois field Fourier transform, a distinctive feature of which is the exact correspondence with the ranges of variation of the amplitudes of the original signal and its digital spectrum. This favorably distinguishes the Galois Field Fourier Transform of the proposed type from the spectra, which calculated using, for example, the Walsh basis. It is also shown, that Galois Field Fourier Transforms of the proposed type have the same properties as the Fourier transform associated with the expansion in terms of the basis of harmonic functions. In particular, an analogue of the classical correlation, which connected the signal spectrum and its derivative, was obtained. On this basis proved, that the using of the proposed type of Galois fields makes it possible to develop a complete analogue of the transfer function apparatus, but only for signals presented in digital form.

This document specifies the methodology for measuring equivalent sound pressure levels in octave frequency bands (in dB rel. 20 μPa), equivalent and maximum A-corrected sound levels (in dB rel. to 20 μPa), generated in the rolling stock in the driver’s cabins and in the passenger rooms of the salons, using acoustic meters - multifunctional analyzers Ecophysics, noise and vibration meters, spectrum analyzers Ecophysics 110A, Oktava 110A Eco, Oktava 110A, Oktava 111, B&K 2250, 2250L, 2270, noise and vibration analyzers ASSISTANT, noise and vibration meters, digital spectrum analyzers Algorithm-05, SVAN979. This methodology is applicable for noise measurements in the driver’s cabins and in the passenger rooms of the rolling stock of both new and old models operated by the underground railway.

Reading has received renewed scrutiny in the digital age, a result of the defamiliarization of the medium that has also brought about a rethinking of what is meant by “text,” “book,” and “author.” Fascination with large-scale data analysis has shifted attention toward modes of reading that sample the source to produce a statistical artifact from which we can in turn read clusterings of words, shifts in topic or register, or changing orthographic habits. These remote reading practices, however, fail to capitalize on valuable modeling of the individual text, but more recently researchers have been exploring ways of bringing these two ends of the digital spectrum into closer conversation. This article explores the study of readership and reception of pre-Victorian women’s writing through these emerging digital methods, examining two collections (Women Writers Online and Women Writers in Review) related to early women’s writing with large-scale analytical methods that engage with the detailed textual models in these collections’ metadata and markup.
