Conducted static research and determined the strength characteristics of the loaded three-dimensional model of the caterpillar track when working at different slope angles. The parameters were calculated in the 3D modeling system “SolidWorks”. As a result of research, it was found that with an increase in the slope angle, the values of the static equivalent stress and strain in the caterpillar track increase in direct proportion, while the value of the safety factor decreases accordingly.

Abstract The aim of the study was to identify acoustic and structural modes in the spectrum obtained exper-imentally inside an operator's cab in a bulldozer. Measurements were taken inside the operator's cab in a caterpillar-track bulldozer Polremaco TD12NPH2E-2000, designed for work in underground mine enclosures. The acoustic pressure spectrum was obtained for varied rotational speeds of the engine during the free run of the machine. The reverberation time of the cab was determined basing on the pulse-type excited pressure response, followed by identification of the spectral components registered by measurements. Thus, identified frequencies were compared with natural acoustic frequencies registered inside the operator's cab and with frequencies associated with the valves and ignition frequencies due to rotational speed and natural frequencies of structural vibrations of the cab's walls. This study was conducted in an attempt to reduce the noise inside the operator's cab using passive methods

Multicaterpillar track chassis are used in the biggest machines. This kind of chassis is commonly used in open cast mines for mobile transfer conveyor or for bucket wheel excavators. In each machine the chassis consist of 6 to 12 caterpillar tracks, which some are steered. Existing models used for analytical calculations are based on simplified relations taken from quasistatic equations of stability and geometrical connections. The complex research was conducted on mobile transfer conveyor, which is used in open cast mine. The aim of measurements was to identify the value of force that acts on elements of chassis during the steering and driving the machine. The measurements were taken during the drive in different directions, with different positions of center of gravity. The strain gauges were used to measure the deformation on each caterpillar track, trusses and drawbar.
