Abstract Background Granulomatosis with polyangiitis and myxomas are rare conditions previously described to co-exist. Cardiac masses are often presumed to be myxomas rather than lesions of granulomatosis with polyangiitis. Case presentation We present a review of the symptoms for the two diagnoses along with the first verified case. Conclusions Two possible risk factors for developing myxomas (VEGF and IL-6) are explored and discussed.

Primary cardiac tumors are extremely rare. Cardiac myxomas most frequently appear in the left atrium. In this article, we present a case of an asymptomatic 6 cm right atrial mass in a patient undergoing staging for endometrial cancer. The mass was resected, and final pathology was consistent with cardiac myxoma.

AbstractA 57-year-old female presented to emergency with features of right heart failure. On evaluation, she was found to have a large mass occupying right atrium (RA) completely and protruding into right ventricle through tricuspid valve. Intraoperatively, mass was seen arising from RA free wall with stony hard consistency. Histopathology revealed it to be myxoma. We present this case for the rare presentation of myxoma masquerading as malignancy.

Tricuspid stenosis is a very rare valvular disease due to narrowing of the orifice of the tricuspid valve of the heart. It is usually of rheumatic origin which is accompanied by other valvular lesions. Other causes of tricuspid stenosis include carcinoid syndrome, endocarditis, endomyocardial fibrosis, lupus erythematosus, right atrial myxoma, drug induced and congenital tricuspid atresia. Here we report a patient who had undergone percutaneous transluminal mitral commissurotomy (PTMC) followed by mitral restenosis with Severe Tricuspid Stenosis with Severe Tricuspid Regurgitation.
