In general, a partially reflective surface (PRS) is mainly used to increase the gain of an antenna; some metallic objects placed on the PRS degrades the antenna performance because the objects change the periodic structure of the PRS. Herein, we propose a multifunctional PRS for smart block application. When a passenger passes over a smart block, the fare can be simultaneously collected and presented through the LED display. This requires high gain antenna with LED structure. The high gain characteristic helps the antenna identify passengers only when they pass over the block. The multifunctional PRS has a structure in which an LED can be placed in the horizontal direction while increasing the antenna gain. We used the antenna’s polarization characteristics to prevent performance deterioration when LED lines are placed in the PRS. We built the proposed antenna and measured its performance: At 2.41 GHz, the efficiency was 81.4%, and the antenna gain was 18.3 dBi. Furthermore, the half-power beamwidth was 18°, confirming a directional radiation pattern.

The objectives of this work is effect of Rice husk ash (AWM) in self-compaction concrete (SCR) in order to increase in strength and a better bonding between aggregate and cement paste. SCR had an improvement over conventional concrete so that it can be placed easily without vibration or mechanical consolidation. The properties of SCR have been studied in several researches due to its importance and ability to solve the problems of concrete mix. AWM was used to substitute cement in stepped concentration of 0 %, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and used to gain characteristic CS of M40 grade concrete mix. It is cured normal water and sulphuric acid solution (H2SO4 ) in for different ages (7days, 28days and 60days) and the strengths were determined. Sulphuric acid used in the percentages of 0%, 1%, 3%, 5%.

Dual-chirped difference frequency generation (DFG) is an advantageous technique for generating the broadband mid-infrared (IR) idler wave, which is inaccessible by a population-inversion-based laser system. In principle, the generated idler wave may even suffer a spectrum broadening compared with the driving pulsed lasers if the pump and signal waves are oppositely chirped. However, broadband phase-matching is always the determining factor for the resulting efficiency and the bandwidth of the generated idler wave. In this study, specific to an oppositely dual-chirped DFG scheme, we derive the precondition to realize broadband frequency conversion, wherein a negative $(1/\unicode[STIX]{x1D710}_{p}-1/\unicode[STIX]{x1D710}_{i})/(1/\unicode[STIX]{x1D710}_{s}-1/\unicode[STIX]{x1D710}_{i})$ , in terms of the correlation coefficient of the group velocity ( $\unicode[STIX]{x1D70E}$ ), is necessary. However, most birefringence bulk crystals can only provide the required material dispersions in limited spectral regions. We show that the periodically poled lithium niobate crystal that satisfies an inactive Type-II (eo-o) quasi-phase-matching condition has a stable negative $\unicode[STIX]{x1D70E}$ and exerts the expected broadband gain characteristic across an ultra-broad idler spectral region $(1.7{-}4.0~\unicode[STIX]{x03BC}\text{m})$ . Finally, we propose and numerically verify a promising DFG configuration to construct a tunable mid-IR spectrum broader based on the broadband phase-matched oppositely dual-chirped DFG scheme.

The paper presents a description of design methodology for wide-band push-pull large-signal power amplifier based on GaN transistor with an output power of more than 10 W for high-performance Nonlinear Junction Detectors, which allows achieving optimal convergence of the theoretical model in practice, as well as increasing the efficiency of the power amplifier while maintaining a linear gain characteristic.
