Sleep-disordered breathing is characterized by airway dysfunction that can occur in any age, but most prevalent in children, caused by the occurrence of respiratory effort, snoring or even by  apnea during sleep. Therefore, the aim of this study was to survey the prevalence of sleep disorders associated with malocclusion in children aged 3 to 12 years in Mineiros, State of Goiás, Brazil. Material and Methods: this is a field research with a sample of 99 children affected by some type of sleep-disordered breathing and malocclusions. Data were collected through a questionnaire about sleep-disordered breathing and a clinical record carried out through intraoral clinical examination. Results: among the 24 children with SDB, 17 had SDB and Malocclusion, which is 70.8% of the children had SDB associated with malocclusion. Of the 75 children without SDB, 11 (14.7%) had malocclusion. Conclusion: No significant differences were found between sleep-disordered breathing and sex-related malocclusions.

A powerful health checking system that is quick and sagacious enough to screen the patient using IoT assembles the status information through these structures, including the patient's heartbeat and send an emergency alert to the patient's PCP with his current status and full clinical status report. This would help the expert screen his patient from any place and send his wellbeing status directly without visiting the clinical facility. Can send the model to various facilities and clinical associations. The structure uses shrewd sensors that make unrefined data information accumulated from the sensor and send it to an informational index server where the data can be furthermore inspected and really stayed aware of to be used by clinically trained professionals. Keeping an informational index server is a flat out need to follow the patient's past clinical record, giving a unique and further created appraisal.

INTRODUCTION: Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics play an important role in reconstruction of child with cleft lip and palate (CLP). In layman term, cleft palate can be dened breach in continuity of the palate. DISCUSSION: Generally, midfacial irregularity and maxillary retrusion are the commonly seen problem after the surgical correction of CLP patients, which occurs mainly because of intrinsic factors, functional or adaptive factors inuencing the position and growth of normal and abnormal part and iatrogenic factors due to effect of treatment procedures. The principle of NAM is “negative sculpturing” and “passive molding” of the alveolus and the soft tissues. Orthodontic techniques are used to mold the maxillary, alveolar, and nasal tissues of an infant with CLP. Despite all the hard work that goes into every case, one aspect seems to be missing among many dentists across the globe is proper documentation of their cases. A proper documentation has many advantages. From start of the treatment planning in diagnosis to follow-up and for patient satisfaction point of view, standardization of clinical record play vital role in management of cleft lip and palate patents. CONCLUSION: The orthodontist play an important role in reconstruction of cleft lip and palate patient from birth to adulthood and provides both esthetic and functional treatment. knowing proper documentation not only improves diagnosis and treatment planning for orthodontist but also improve their future clinical practice

Objectives: To report a case of ingested wire bristle embedded within the extrinsic musculature of the tongue requiring a transcervical approach for removal and to provide a revised algorithm for the management of ingested wire bristles. Methods: The clinical record of 1 patient who ingested a grill brush wire bristle was reviewed. A literature review was also conducted to refine a treatment algorithm for managing ingested wire bristles. Results: We present a case of a 53-year-old male who accidentally ingested a grill brush wire bristle. After multiple unsuccessful endoscopic attempts at removal, the wire bristle migrated deep into the extrinsic musculature of the tongue, necessitating a transcervical approach for adequate visualization and retrieval. Conclusions: This is the first case reported of a wire bristle migrating deep into the tongue musculature that was successfully removed via a transcervical approach. Our proposed algorithm provides a comprehensive approach to the management of ingested wire bristles, specifically in cases where endoscopic retrieval is not feasible.

Abstract Introduction St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a tertiary plastic surgery centre serving a population of 3.5 million in and around South West London. Telemedicine Referral Image Portal System (TRIPS) is integral to our service, allowing triage of patients in remote locations. During Covid, TRIPS helped in reducing footfall and streamlining out of hospital referrals to reduce unnecessary transfer. The aim of this project was to assess the quality of clinical documentation for emergency referrals to plastic surgery via TRIPS. Method We performed a retrospective review of all patients referred to plastic surgery via TRIPS during April 2020. Documentation standards were determined from national guidance. After introduction of a condensed guide, a second review was performed four months later. Results In April, 131 referrals were recorded on TRIPS. Only 22.9% of records met the standard. The most common omission was treatment advice. Following introduction of guidance, 215 TRIPS records were reviewed. The quality of clinical documentation improved in all aspects with a compliance rate of 89%. Conclusions Although TRIPS remains a useful tool for triage, it is a clinical document and must meet the standards of clinical record keeping. Introduction of clear guidelines improves overall compliance.
