This study had three objectives: to discover the main concepts and theories used in research around entrepreneurship; systematize the entrepreneurial process in a model that allows teaching it more efficiently, and substantiate the model by applying it to various social entrepreneurship projects. To this end, a systematic scoping review was carried out to identify the main concepts, theories, and processes, which constitute the six crucial building blocks to someone could be successful as a(n) (social) intra/entrepreneur. Then, a design-science approach led us to use real social innovation and social entrepreneurship cases to evaluate the constructs and the model. Consequently, it is concluded that all concepts, theories and models identified can be classified as external factors (Context and Resources), internal factors (Objectives and entrepreneurial Will) and achievements (Action and Impact). The CROWAI model fits well with the data obtained on 465 innovation and social entrepreneurship projects. Thus, this model presents a more comprehensive approach, applicable to all profitable or social intra/entrepreneurship situations, allowing this new conceptual arrangement to be more easily taught. Additionally, it makes sense to use the term ‘social’ in innovation and intra/entrepreneurship because it has excellent defining power of the scope one wants to achieve with human endeavours. Doi: 10.28991/ESJ-2022-06-01-02 Full Text: PDF

Performance Engineered Mixtures is an initiative, spearheaded by the Federal Highway Administration and the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center, in cooperation with state Departments of Transportation and the concrete paving industry, to develop a comprehensive approach to modernizing the way concrete is specified, tested, and accepted. It focusses on three components: testing of six critical concrete properties, a robust approach to quality control, and the replacement of prescriptive specifications. Many new tests have been recently developed that provide the ability to test concrete properties more easily and quicker than in the past. This paper provides background of how this initiative began. It elaborates on each of the six properties of concrete that are the focus of PEM. The new tests that are integral to the PEM process are described. The effects PEM will have on the acceptance process and the quality control responsibilities are outlined. Finally, tables are included which list the properties and the tests that are associated with each property, as well as how each is applied to each step of the paving process.

Abstract This study, presented in a pair of articles, defines a comprehensive methodological approach to the reconstruction of a traditional masonry-timber mansion building constructed in the 1880s of the Turkish house typology on Istanbul’s historical peninsula area that was intentionally demolished in 1948. A historical process research was carried out in the first stage of the study, after which ground penetration radar measurements and an archeological excavation were carried out to determine any possible remains or ruins of the structure, and the original architectural features of the demolished building were ascertained from the obtained data. The proposed stages in the current paper can be considered a comprehensive approach to the determination of the authentic properties of demolished or destroyed buildings in historical areas, given that the methodology allows for the integration of construction features obtained separately and independently through different activities, such as excavations, georadar measurements and historical surveys. The result is a versatile approach to the complete and realistic reconstruction of historical buildings.

The purpose of the study is a theoretical and legal analysis of the compressive approach to the perception of the law in the context of doctrinal views, its substantiation and comparison with the comprehend theory. The originality of the study lies in the substantiation of the theory of the comprehensive approach, which consists in a strictly objective, real, non-idealised, deideologised cognition of the law. New ideas related to the perception of law through an objective and comprehensive assessment and monitoring are proposed. The similarities and differences between the comprehensive approach and the comprehend theory are clarified. The approach is a kind of tool for the development of theory. As a result of the analysis of doctrinal views on the comprehensive approach to the perception of law and the generalisation of different positions, the definition of the studied concept is developed. Conclusions: the methodological value of the comprehensive approach as a kind of tool for the development of the theory lies in the objective, real, non-idealised, and deideologised cognition of the law. Therewith, it is inadmissible to recognise the prevalence of a certain concept or theory. The construction of law in the way of combining the integrated theory of law and the theory of natural and positive law is incomplete and incorrect. Since law is not limited to these two theories. Thus, this perception of law is one-sided and biased. Arguments are given regarding the practical value of the comprehensive approach in legal technique when the assessment of the law is conducted depending on the completeness of its implementation and in achieving legal certainty. The more objectively the law, the quality and effectiveness of its rules are assessed, the faster it is perceived (recognised). It is advisable to comprehend the law with the assessment of its negative features
