Abstract We study several multiscale one-loop five-point families of Feynman integrals. More specifically, we employ the Simplified Differential Equations approach to obtain results in terms of Goncharov polylogarithms of up to transcendental weight four for families with two and three massive external legs and massless propagators, as well as with one massive internal line and up to two massive external legs. This is the first time this computational approach is applied to cases involving internal masses.

In this work, a simple and rapid method based on the lateral flow assay (LFA) has been developed for the detection of dual antibiotics. To achieve the quantitative assay and to reduce the non-specific adsorption, an internal system has been developed. A non-specific DNA was exploited as an internal standard and could be recognized by the DNA marker that was coated at the internal line. Two different kinds of aptamers were applied to recognize ampicillin (AMP) and kanamycin (KAM), and the distance between the detection line and conjugate pad was then optimized. Under the optimum conditions, the quantitative assays of AMP (R2 = 0.984) and KAM (R2 = 0.990) were achieved with dynamic ranges of 0.50 to 500.0 ng/L, and of 0.50 to 1000.0 ng/L, respectively. The LOQs of AMP and KAM were 0.06 ng/L and 0.015 ng/L, respectively. Finally, the proposed method has been successfully applied to analyze aquaculture water, tap water, and lake water, and hospital wastewater, indicating the established method could be used to monitor the environment.

In 1857 the Austrian military authorities started building an internal line of defence in the Krakow fortress, known as Noyau. Krakow, as an extremely important strategic point on the map of the Habsburg monarchy, required urgent fortification. The works were preceded by field studies and considerations of several variants of the planned fortifications. In progress, obstacles appeared which caused completion of the investment only after 9 years. The construction of Noyau, permanently saved in the history of the city, affected its urban planning and spatial development. Despite the demolition of most of the fortifications, we can still see a trace of their presence in the form of a system of communication routes, surrounding today’s downtown of Krakow.

Buckling problems of plates with interfaces caused by step changes in thickness, internal line supports and line hinges under uni-axial and bi-axial in-plane compressive loads are solved by using the matched interface and boundary (MIB) method. In view of buckling problems of plates, new MIB algorithms and their interpolation formulations are developed to deal with various interfaces. A number of examples are taken to examine the accuracy and convergence of the present algorithms. Numerical results are compared with the existing solutions to validate the applicability of these algorithms to the title problems. Numerical analysis shows that on the whole, MIB and its interpolation formulation are equivalent, and they are highly accurate and efficient approaches for buckling analysis of plates with various interfaces.

Abstract This paper presents the first known vibration characteristics of moderately thick functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite rectangular plates on Pasternak foundation with arbitrary boundary conditions and internal line supports on the basis of the firstorder shear deformation theory. Different distributions of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) along the thickness are considered. Uniform and other three kinds of functionally graded distributions of carbon nanotubes along the thickness direction of plates are studied. The solutions carried out using an enhanced Ritz method mainly include the following three points: Firstly, create the Lagrange energy function by the energy principle; Secondly, as the main innovation point, the modified Fourier series are chosen as the basic functions of the admissible functions of the plates to eliminate all the relevant discontinuities of the displacements and their derivatives at the edges; Lastly, solve the natural frequencies as well as the associated mode shapes by means of the Ritz-variational energy method. In this study, the influences of the volume fraction of CNTs, distribution type of CNTs, boundary restrain parameters, location of the internal line supports, foundation coefficients on the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the FG-CNT reinforced composite rectangular plates are presented.
