The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between entrepreneurial inclination (tendency) and entrepreneurial readiness (ER), and the moderating role of the entrepreneurship education in this relationship. As a result of the literature review examined in this context, research hypotheses were developed and a theoretical model was put forward. The research was conducted on 365 students who received entrepreneurship education at Aksaray and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University. The data of the research were gathered with convenience sampling method by using online and face-to-face survey technique. The data collected were tested by regression analysis using appropriate statistical package programs. According to the results of the research, it was found that the entrepreneurial inclinations of the participants had a significant effect on their entrepreneurial readiness and that entrepreneurship education played a moderator role in this effect. In the study, it is found that the entrepreneurial inclination did not affect the learning orientation of the dimensions of the ER; it is concluded that the entrepreneurial inclination negatively affects the perceived attractiveness and work passion dimensions of the dimensions of ER. In addition, it is determined that entrepreneurship education did not have the moderating role in the effect of entrepreneurial inclination on learning orientation dimension, but entrepreneurship education has a moderator role in the effect of perceived attractiveness and work passion.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of empowering leadership (EL) on work passion by developing a moderated mediation model. The model focuses on the mediating effect of intrinsic motivation (IM) in the relationship between EL and work passion, as well as the moderating effect of role clarity (RC) in influencing the mediation. METHODS: Data were obtained from a sample of 515 workers, who work in 17 five-star hotels in Sharm El-Sheikh. RESULTS: Findings reveal that IM fully mediates the positive relationship between EL and work passion. It also concluded that RC moderated the mediated relationship between EL and work passion via IM, with individuals with higher RC benefiting more from the mediation. CONCLUSION: The findings have far-reaching implications for both employees and leaders. Furthermore, they add to our understanding of self-determination theory and cognitive evaluation theory in terms of consolidating employees’ work passion.

This study aims to study the relationship between personality traits (conscientiousness and extraversion), electronic performance monitoring (EPM) and work passion. In addition, it investigates the mediating role of EPM between personality traits and work passion. Data was collected from 105 employees working in call centers throughout Pakistan. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), using SmartPLS 3.0, was performed to test the hypothesized model. The results showed that consciousness and extraversion have a positive impact on EPM and work passion. In addition, EPM acts significantly as a mediator between personality traits and work passion among call center employees. This is the first study that examines the mediating role of EPM in the relation between personality differences and work passion. The results of the study would help Asian human resources professionals effectively perform human resources functions, such as employee staffing, training, and performance management. Implications for managers and recommendations for future studies are proposed.
