At this time, we often encounter many church officials who do not carry out their duties properly in a church service that the congregation has untrusted to them. In this paper I will present some reflections on the life of a church official who does not discipline himself in a church service. According to some people think that, discipline in the church is a major omission in some churches today where a leader is afraid to discipline the church to members of the congregation either to a church official, because it is considered contrary to the “love of God” which can cause division in a fellowship with in the church discipline in a congregatin & church, can cause the loss of church members who are affected from outside. Mean while, the major misunderstandings that occur in the church occur due to differences of opinion regarding the meaning, purpose, and nature of church discipline. Many see church discipline as a curse and presentation to a church official or to members of the congregation rather than to be seen as healing love. The purpose of writing this paper is to explain the correct understanding of the importance of church discipline for a church official in a church ministry today

Book Review of Mount Olympus: to Glorify the Cult of Tragedy

In the autumn 2017, a 24-hour long theatre play ‘Mount Olympus’ was featured on TV, in a live broadcast and on a public service station. Itcaused waves of disapproval, indignation and even disgust in Belgrade and Serbia. Directed by Jan Fabre, the play opened an international festival of theatre BITEF in September 2017.BITEF was foundedover 50 years by one of the greatest women in the history of Yugoslav culture, Mira Trailović. The polarisation of the audience was evident and expressed in extremes typical for Belgrade and Serbia. Just a few weeks after the broadcast there was widespread support for a church official making disgusting misogynist remarks. Bishop Amfilohije, otherwise known for his nationalistic, homophobic, misogynist and generally discriminatory outbursts, who stated thatSerbian women who undergo abortion ‘kill more children in a year than Hitler and Mussolini’; thereby comparing abortion with infanticide, and women who decide on their bodily integrity and reproductive health with Nazis and fascists.

Neither do baptism of confirmation or ‘double baptism’ offer a solution. At the root of the problem a difference of approach towards the covenant of grace is maintained. Churches maintaining the infant baptism tradition should, however, critically view the praxis of their doctrine and consider whether church members are perhaps too readily allowed to present their children for baptism.

Liturgical clothes with special reference to the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk van Afrika In the Old Testament it was ruled that church officials should wear special clothes depicting the seperation between God and man. The function of the high priest was fulfilled by Jesus Christ and the gulf between God and man eliminated, making the need for liturgical dress unnecessary from the time of the New Testament. Since the earliest centuries of the church, official clothes for clergymen has been uncommon. Although the medieval Roman Catholic Church enforced official liturgical attire, the church reformists viewed such dress with scepticism. It is also considered that in the Hervormde Kerk no liturgical clothes should be worn, other than the academic robe as proof of competence.
