The uniqueness of this case is in its rarity and divergent presentation. Here, we report a case of 61 years old diabetic male who presented with painless swelling on the glans penis for the past 6 months along with bleeding from the mass and difficulty to pass urine for 1 month. Examination revealed solid, mass arising from the tip of glans with non-retractile, indurated prepuce. No clinically palpable lymphadenopathy was present. Dorsal slit was performed and mass excised. Histopathology examination revealed cavernous hemangioma. Primary cavernous hemangioma of glans penis is very rare but challenging for urologists to diagnose and manage such cases.

Background: Cavernous hemangioma of the glans penis is a relatively rare disease in clinical practice, caused by congenital dysplasia. Case presentation: A 20-year-old male, found a snake shaped dark purple mass on the glans penis for more than 10 years. During the operation, the tumor was seen to be about 0.5 cm away from the outer urethra. The tumor was broken longitudinally, and the boundary between the tumor and the corpus cavernosum was not clear, and the tumor was bluntly separated until it was completely removed. Postoperative pathological examination revealed a cavernous hemangioma. The patient was discharged without complications such as infection or wound dehiscence. Conclusion: With the increase of sexual demand and to avoid rupture and bleeding of glans penis cavernous hemangioma are recommend early intervention and treatment. Keywords: glans; cavernous hemangioma; treatment methods.

Objective: To evaluate the features and prognosis of melanoma of glans penis and urethra, with the presentation of a significant case report. Materials and methods: A systematic literature review was performed using the MEDLINE (PubMed) and Cochrane Libraries databases to identify all cases of male mucosal melanoma reported. Results: Two hundred fifty-two patients with male mucosal primary melanoma were found. Glans penis and fossa navicularis as primary site includes the 81.6% of all lesions considered. Median Breslow’s depth is 2.1 mm, whereas nine in situ melanomas have been reported. At the diagnosis, the disease was at a non-localized stage in 21.4% for glans penis melanomas and 11.7% urethral lesions, respectively. The 2 and 5-year survival for glans melanoma is 62.5% and 38.4%; higher rates were observed in the 2012–2020 period (76% and 58.8%, respectively). Two-year survival for urethral melanomas is 66.7%, while 5-year survival is 12.5%. 22 patients survived over 5 years with a Breslow’s depth reported always < 3.3 mm. Conclusion: Melanoma of the glans penis and urethra is a rare neoplasm associated with a poor prognosis, however recent reports show higher survival rates. Surgery remains the mainstay for a localized disease. Taking into account the small number of cases reported, topical imiquimod seems to be a valid non-surgical alterative for melanoma in situ. The use of immunotherapy and targeted therapy should be considered only in an adjuvant setting according to the recommendations of cutaneous melanoma; however, additional clinical data on male mucosal melanoma are needed to draw definitive conclusions.

Prostatic artery embolization is becoming increasingly popular in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia, particularly for patients with significant comorbidities that make them poor candidates for either general anaesthesia or surgical intervention. Penile tip necrosis as a complication following prostatic artery embolization is exceedingly rare, with only 4 cases previously reported in the world literature. It occurs as a result of the embolization material passing into and occluding collateral arterial networks such as those supplying the glans penis. This paper identifies 3 further cases of penile tip necrosis, outlines its natural history, and proposes management strategies, so that clinicians can better identify and treat this condition.
