This paper introduces a new family of distributions by combining the sine produced family and the inverse Lomax generated family. The new proposed family is very interested and flexible more than some old and current families. It has many new models which have many applications in physics, engineering, and medicine. Some fundamental statistical properties of the sine inverse Lomax generated family of distributions as moments, generating function, and quantile function are calculated. Four special models as sine inverse Lomax-exponential, sine inverse Lomax-Rayleigh, sine inverse Lomax-Frèchet and sine inverse Lomax-Lomax models are proposed. Maximum likelihood estimation of model parameters is proposed in this paper. For the purpose of evaluating the performance of maximum likelihood estimates, a simulation study is conducted. Two real life datasets are analyzed by the sine inverse Lomax-Lomax model, and we show that providing flexibility and more fitting than known nine models derived from other generated families.

A novel family of produced distributions, odd inverse power generalized Weibull generated distributions, is introduced. Various mathematics structural properties for the odd inverse power generalized Weibull generated family are computed. Numerical analysis for mean, variance, skewness, and kurtosis is performed. The new family contains many new models, and the densities of the new models can be right skewed and symmetric with “unimodal” and “bimodal” shapes. Also, its hazard rate function can be “constant,” “decreasing,” “increasing,” “increasing-constant,” “upside-down-constant,” and “decreasing-constant.” Different types of entropies are calculated. Some numerical values of various entropies for some selected values of parameters for the odd inverse power generalized Weibull exponential model are computed. The maximum likelihood estimation, least square estimation, and weighted least square estimation approaches are used to estimate the OIPGW-G parameters. Many bivariate and multivariate type models have been also derived. Two real-world data sets are used to demonstrate the new family’s use and versatility.

In recent years, the Muth distribution has been used for the construction of accurate statistical models, with applications in various applied fields. In this paper, we use a truncated-composed scheme to create a new unit Muth distribution, from which we motivate a more general family of continuous distributions called the truncated Muth generated family. The key benefits of this family are its analytical simplicity, connections with the exponential generated family, and flexibility conferred on any parental distribution. In particular, it improves the capability of the functions of the parental distribution, enhancing their peak, asymmetry, tail, and flatness levels, among others. The characteristics of quantile and moment measures and functions of the truncated Muth generated family are described in detail. As a concrete example, a particular distribution that extends the Weibull distribution is highlighted. In an applied part, the parameters are calculated using the maximum likelihood procedure. We use a comprehensive simulation analysis to demonstrate the accuracy of the derived estimates. The revised Weibull model is then used to fit two real-world datasets. The new model is shown to be more suited to these datasets than other competing models.

A new class of continuous distributions called the generalized Burr X-G family is introduced. Some special models of the new family are provided. Some of its mathematical properties including explicit expressions for the quantile and generating functions, ordinary and incomplete moments, order statistics and Rényi entropy are derived. The maximum likelihood is used for estimating the model parameters. The flexibility of the generated family is illustrated by means of two applications to real data sets.

In this paper we consider deterministic nonlinear time evolutions satisfying so called convex quasi-linearity condition. Such evolutions preserve the equivalence of ensembles and therefore are free from problems with signaling. We show that if family of linear non-trace-preserving maps satisfies the semigroup property then the generated family of convex quasi-linear operations also possesses the semigroup property. Next we generalize the Gorini-Kossakowski-Sudarshan-Lindblad type equation for the considered evolution. As examples we discuss the general qubit evolution in our model as well as an extension of the Jaynes-Cummings model. We apply our formalism to spin density matrix of a charged particle moving in the electromagnetic field as well as to flavor evolution of solar neutrinos.
