We analyze energy harvesting using a mechanical resonator with three potential wells. Nonlinear effects are leading to frequency broadband voltage response via bifurcations, multiple solutions and dynamical hysteresis. We show the characteristic features of the obtained solutions. In particular, basins of attraction of solutions are discussed.

A water price-supply model is presented to describe the relationship between water price and water supplier's decision in a closed irrigation district. Then some nonlinear studies are implemented, such as Neimark-Sacker bifurcation , chaotic attractor, Lyapunov exponents and time series. It shows that the parameter of the water price can lead the price-supply system from stability into bifurcation and chaos.

The dependence of the dynamics of pulse-coupled neural networks on random rewiring of excitatory and inhibitory connections is examined. When both excitatory and inhibitory connections are rewired, periodic synchronization emerges with a Hopf-like bifurcation and a subsequent period-doubling bifurcation; chaotic synchronization is also observed. When only excitatory connections are rewired, periodic synchronization emerges with a saddle node–like bifurcation, and chaotic synchronization is also observed. This result suggests that randomness in the system does not necessarily contaminate the system, and sometimes it even introduces rich dynamics to the system such as chaos.
