In this paper, we present some results on typical properties of the sets of fixed points of bounded Baire one functions. In particular, we show that typical elements of a uniformly closed subclass [Formula: see text] of such class of functions have nowhere dense set of fixed points. We also show that typical elements of the class of bounded Baire one functions have [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] is an arbitrary continuous Borel measure on the unit interval.

AbstractWe describe the general form of isometries between uniformly closed function algebras on locally compact Hausdorff spaces in a continuation of the study by Miura. We can actually obtain the form on the Shilov boundary, rather than just on the Choquet boundary. We also give an example showing that the form cannot be extended to the whole maximal ideal space.

Let be a compact Hausdorff space, be a continuous involution on and denote the uniformly closed real subalgebra of consisting of all for which . Let be a compact metric space and let denote the complex Banach space of complex-valued Lipschitz functions of order on under the norm , where . For , the closed subalgebra of consisting of all for which as , denotes by . Let be a Lipschitz involution on and define for and for . In this paper, we give a characterization of extreme points of , where is a real linear subspace of or which contains 1, in particular, or .

The authors have obtained the following results: (1) the definition of uniformly closed countable family of nonlinear mappings, (2) strong convergence theorem by the monotone hybrid algorithm for two countable families of hemirelatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space with new method of proof, (3) two examples of uniformly closed countable families of nonlinear mappings and applications, (4) an example which is hemirelatively nonexpansive mapping but not weak relatively nonexpansive mapping, and (5) an example which is weak relatively nonexpansive mapping but not relatively nonexpansive mapping. Therefore, the results of this paper improve and extend the results of Plubtieng and Ungchittrakool (2010) and many others.
