The main object of this paper is to investigate spacetimes admitting concircular curvature tensor in f(R) gravity theory. At first, concircularly flat and concircularly flat perfect fluid spacetimes in fR gravity are studied. In this case, the forms of the isotropic pressure p and the energy density σ are obtained. Next, some energy conditions are considered. Finally, perfect fluid spacetimes with divergence free concircular curvature tensor in f(R) gravity are studied; amongst many results, it is proved that if the energy-momentum tensor of such spacetimes is recurrent or bi-recurrent, then the Ricci tensor is semi-symmetric and hence these spacetimes either represent inflation or their isotropic pressure and energy density are constants.

The main goal of this paper is to study the properties of generalized Ricci recurrent perfect fluid spacetimes and the generalized Ricci recurrent (generalized Robertson–Walker (GRW)) spacetimes. It is proven that if the generalized Ricci recurrent perfect fluid spacetimes satisfy the Einstein’s field equations without cosmological constant, then the isotropic pressure and the energy density of the perfect fluid spacetime are invariant along the velocity vector field of the perfect fluid spacetime. In this series, we show that a generalized Ricci recurrent perfect fluid spacetime satisfying the Einstein’s field equations without cosmological constant is either Ricci recurrent or Ricci symmetric. An [Formula: see text]-dimensional compact generalized Ricci recurrent GRW spacetime with almost Ricci soliton is geodesically complete, provided the soliton vector field of almost Ricci soliton is timelike. Also, we prove that a (GR)n GRW spacetime is Einstein. The properties of (GR)n GRW spacetimes equipped with almost Ricci soliton are studied.

In this work, we revisit the shear-free conjecture of general relativity and study the well-known shear-free condition in the context of the Chaplygin-gas cosmology. It had been shown in previous investigations that, in the general relativistic framework, the matter congruences of shear-free perfect fluid spacetimes should be either expansion-free or rotation-free. Our current investigation, however, indicates that a universe dominated by a Chaplygin-gas can allow a simultaneous expansion and rotation of the fluid provided that certain non-trivial conditions, which we derive and describe in what follows, are met. We also show that, in the appropriate limiting cases, our results reduce to the expected results of dust spacetimes which can only expand or rotate, but not both, at the same time.

In this paper, we introduce a new type of curvature tensor named H-curvature tensor of type (1, 3) which is a linear combination of conformal and projective curvature tensors. First we deduce some basic geometric properties of H-curvature tensor. It is shown that a H-flat Lorentzian manifold is an almost product manifold. Then we study pseudo H-symmetric manifolds (PHS)n (n > 3) which recovers some known structures on Lorentzian manifolds. Also, we provide several interesting results. Among others, we prove that if an Einstein (PHS)n is a pseudosymmetric (PS)n, then the scalar curvature of the manifold vanishes and conversely. Moreover, we deal with pseudo H-symmetric perfect fluid spacetimes and obtain several interesting results. Also, we present some results of the spacetime satisfying divergence free H-curvature tensor. Finally, we construct a non-trivial Lorentzian metric of (PHS)4.
