At present, image restoration has become a research hotspot in computer vision. The purpose of digital image restoration is to restore the lost information of the image or remove redundant objects without destroying the integrity and visual effects of the image. The operation of user interactive color migration is troublesome, resulting in low efficiency. And, when there are many kinds of colors, it is prone to errors. In response to these problems, this paper proposes automatic selection of sample color migration. Considering that the respective gray-scale histograms of the visual source image and the target image are approximately normal distributions, this paper takes the peak point as the mean value of the normal distribution to construct the objective function. We find all the required partitions according to the user’s needs and use the center points in these partitions as the initial clustering centers of the fuzzy C-means (FCM) algorithm to complete the automatic clustering of the two images. This paper selects representative pixels as sample blocks to realize automatic matching of sample blocks in the two images and complete the color migration of the entire image. We introduced the curvature into the energy functional of the p-harmonic model. According to whether there is noise in the image, a new wavelet domain image restoration model is proposed. According to the established model, the Euler–Lagrange equation is derived by the variational method, the corresponding diffusion equation is established, and the model is analyzed and numerically solved in detail to obtain the restored image. The results show that the combination of image sample texture synthesis and segmentation matching method used in this paper can effectively solve the problem of color unevenness. This not only saves the time for mural restoration but also improves the quality of murals, thereby achieving more realistic visual effects and connectivity.

The degraded image during the process of image analysis needs more number of iterations to restore it. These iterations take long waiting time and slow scanning, resulting in inefficient image restoration. A few numbers of measurements are enough to recuperate an image with good condition. Due to tree sparsity, a 2D wavelet tree reduces the number of coefficients and iterations to restore the degraded image. All the wavelet coefficients are extracted with overlaps as low and high sub-band space and ordered them such that they are decomposed in the tree ordering structured path. Some articles have addressed the problems with tree sparsity and total variation (TV), but few authors endorsed the benefits of tree sparsity. In this paper, a spatial variation regularization algorithm based on tree order is implemented to change the window size and variation estimators to reduce the loss of image information and to solve the problem of image smoothing operation. The acceptance rate of the tree-structured path relies on local variation estimators to regularize the performance parameters and update them to restore the image. For this, the Localized Total Variation (LTV) method is proposed and implemented on a 2D wavelet tree ordering structured path based on the proposed image smooth adjustment scheme. In the end, a reliable reordering algorithm proposed to reorder the set of pixels and to increase the reliability of the restored image. Simulation results clearly show that the proposed method improved the performance compared to existing methods of image restoration.

Total variation (TV) regularization has received much attention in image restoration applications because of its advantages in denoising and preserving details. A common approach to address TV-based image restoration is to design a specific algorithm for solving typical cost function, which consists of conventional ℓ2 fidelity term and TV regularization. In this work, a novel objective function and an efficient algorithm are proposed. Firstly, a pseudoinverse transform-based fidelity term is imposed on TV regularization, and a closely-related optimization problem is established. Then, the split Bregman framework is used to decouple the complex inverse problem into subproblems to reduce computational complexity. Finally, numerical experiments show that the proposed method can obtain satisfactory restoration results with fewer iterations. Combined with the restoration effect and efficiency, this method is superior to the competitive algorithm. Significantly, the proposed method has the advantage of a simple solving structure, which can be easily extended to other image processing applications.

Group-based sparse representation (GSR) uses image nonlocal self-similarity (NSS) prior to grouping similar image patches, and then performs sparse representation. However, the traditional GSR model restores the image by training degraded images, which leads to the inevitable over-fitting of the data in the training model, resulting in poor image restoration results. In this paper, we propose a new hybrid sparse representation model (HSR) for image restoration. The proposed HSR model is improved in two aspects. On the one hand, the proposed HSR model exploits the NSS priors of both degraded images and external image datasets, making the model complementary in feature space and the plane. On the other hand, we introduce a joint sparse representation model to make better use of local sparsity and NSS characteristics of the images. This joint model integrates the patch-based sparse representation (PSR) model and GSR model, while retaining the advantages of the GSR model and the PSR model, so that the sparse representation model is unified. Extensive experimental results show that the proposed hybrid model outperforms several existing image recovery algorithms in both objective and subjective evaluations.

To continue to protect and inherit the cultural landscape heritage of traditional villages, starting from the perspective of artificial intelligence (AI), literature review methods are used, and related theories are collected. Then, Wuyuan County in Jiangxi Province in the traditional villages is taken as the research object. By analyzing the tourism income of this place from 2016 to 2020, the overall income of this county is relatively good. In fact, due to the weak protection of traditional villages in Wuyuan County, the lack of supervision awareness, the implementation of the “immigrant and relocation” policy, and the backward thinking of residents, the cultural landscape of traditional villages has collapsed and destroyed. Up to now, there are 113 ancient ancestral temples, 28 ancient mansion houses, 36 ancient private houses, 187 ancient bridges, and only 12 ancient villages. Finally, AI technology is applied to the cultural landscape of traditional villages. Through image restoration technology, traditional villages can be restored to a certain extent. Intelligent positioning and radio frequency (RF) technology can also realize real-time monitoring of traditional villages from the perspective of weather and service life to achieve the purpose of protecting cultural landscape heritage. Therefore, AI technology is applied in the protection and inheritance of traditional village cultural landscape heritage, which has great reference significance for the management of various historical and cultural heritage.
