Climate change is becoming a highlight of the world. As the world's second largest CO2 emission country, China faces increasing pressure. Energy consumption and utilizing is the major source of CO2 emissions. Optimization of the regional energy configuration can not only reduce energy consumption, but also reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Thus, it will achieve energy conservation and sustainable development. Based on the Eco-city constructed by China and Sino-Singapore, this paper calculates the regional energy-saving under the requirement of existing Energy Conservation Code, plans its energy saving quantity by taking some measurements and then predicts the carbon dioxide emission reductions. The result shows that using effective measures to save energy can reduce 227772t carbon dioxide emissions. Using renewable energy and energy saving measures will reduce 371414t CO2, which has a striking effect. So changing energy structure and using renew energy are main measures to reduce CO2 emission.

Abstract Poultry farming is one of energy intensive industries that consume large amount of energy to provide the suitable indoor environment for chicken health and production like meat and eggs. Currently, there are extensive researches and practices of applying renewable and sustainable energy technologies to poultry farming to achieve energy saving and carbon dioxide emission reduction. Therefore, it is worth to retrospect the state-of-the-art development and summarize the key features in this field. The main technologies include photovoltaic (PV), solar collector, hybrid PV/Thermal, thermal energy storage, ground/water/air sources heat pumps, lighting and radiant heating. It is found that up to 85% energy saving can be achieved by using these advanced technologies in comparison to the traditional poultry houses with a payback time of 3–8 years.

Industrial development has lead to higher energy consumption, and emission of greenhouse gases. Cement industry plays an important role in energy consumption and overall greenhouse gases emissions. This paper reviews the preceding studies concentration on the provision of energy saving, carbon dioxide emission reductions correlated with implementation of a number of technologies applicable to improve the energy efficiency in the cement industry. Energy efficiency measures for clinker production. It is found the largest amounts of thermal energy saving, electrical energy saving, emission reductions are 4.1 Giga Joule per ton, 35 kilo Watt hour per ton, 112,61 kilogram CO2 per ton respectively.

From 1980 to 2012 there were 80% carbon dioxide emission from traditional fossil energy in the world, and the proportion reached 90% in China, which was the top of carbon dioxide emission and energy consumption. In order to release the pressure of short term energy-saving and emission-reduction, as well as implement energy system cleaning in long term, reversing the positive situation of energy structure adjustment and the advancing the continuous evolution of energy consumption structure will be the effective methods. This paper takes Hebei Province and the whole country as the research objects, analyzes the influence of energy consumption structure changes on carbon dioxide emission and the correlation effect between energy consumption structure and carbon dioxide emission intensity by constructing a correlation model between energy consumption structure and carbon dioxide emission intensity, discusses the effective strategies for the regional energy-saving and emission-reduction.
