PurposeThe purpose of this study is to make a prediction of China's energy consumption structure from the perspective of compositional data and construct a novel grey model for forecasting compositional data.Design/methodology/approachDue to the existing grey prediction model based on compositional data cannot effectively excavate the evolution law of correlation dimension sequence of compositional data. Thus, the adaptive discrete grey prediction model with innovation term based on compositional data is proposed to forecast the integral structure of China's energy consumption. The prediction results from the new model are then compared with three existing approaches and the comparison results indicate that the proposed model generally outperforms existing methods. A further prediction of China's energy consumption structure is conducted into a future horizon from 2021 to 2035 by using the model.FindingsChina's energy structure will change significantly in the medium and long term and China's energy consumption structure can reach the long-term goal. Besides, the proposed model can better mine and predict the development trend of single time series after the transformation of compositional data.Originality/valueThe paper considers the dynamic change of grey action quantity, the characteristics of compositional data and the impact of new information about the system itself on the current system development trend and proposes a novel adaptive discrete grey prediction model with innovation term based on compositional data, which fills the gap in previous studies.

This paper studies the impact of the development of green finance on China’s energy consumption structure. 17 basic indexes and the improved entropy weight method are used to construct the green finance index (GFI). Multiple regression, panel regression, and spatial regression are used to study the impact of green finance on China’s traditional energy and renewable energy consumption. The results show that there is a positive spatial spillover effect in the development of green finance among provinces in China. The development of green finance contributes to the conversion of traditional to renewable energy consumption. The effect of green finance on the transformation of energy consumption structure is mainly reflected in the direct effect. The green finance in each province not only helps the local development of green energy but also plays a good role in the production and utilization of clean energy consumption in surrounding provinces. Therefore, the government should support the green finance, reduce traditional energy consumption, and increase renewable energy consumption.

Based on the Beijing panel data from 1990 to 2019, this paper expands the traditional Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) model by introducing the nutritional needs indicators by age structure and quantitatively analyzes the structure and characteristics of household food consumption in Beijing. The study estimates and compares the income elasticity, price elasticity, nutritional demand elasticity of food consumption structure, and the per capita food consumption in Beijing is predicted. The results show that commodity prices and income are still the key factors affecting consumer demand. The change in the population's age structure also has a corresponding impact on the consumption structure. The consumption structure of Beijing is in the stage of optimization, and relevant departments should formulate relevant policies to increase farmers' income and stabilize prices.

This study accounts current energy consumption of various types of equipments in Chinese container terminals through investigating typical terminals; compares and analyzes the clean energy application technologies from the perspectives of technical level, investment cost, and others; on this basis, construct the predictive model of energy consumption structure, and uses scenario analysis to carry out energy consumption predictions under each scenario and analyzes the effect of policy intervention, technological development and other factors. According to the predictive results, this study holds that in order to optimize energy structure of container terminal, container terminals should strongly promote the application of clean energy to port machinery instead of fuel on the basis of the industrial development and cost reduction of high-power and large-capacity power batteries; at the same time, strengthen policy encouragement and guidance are needed.

Abstract This paper studies the impact of the development of green finance on China’s energy consumption structure. In terms of the construction of the green finance index (GFI), this paper selects 17 basic indexes from the three aspects of economy, finance, and environment, uses the improved entropy weight method to construct the GFI, and studies the spatial spillover effect of the GFI of China's provinces. This paper further studies the impact of green finance on traditional and renewable energy consumption. We first uses panel regression to determine that the development of green finance has a positive effect on the slowdown of traditional energy consumption and acceleration of renewable energy consumption, and then further studies the spatial characteristics of green finance development on energy consumption by using spatial Durbin model. The results show that there is a positive spatial spillover effect in the development of green finance among provinces in China. The development of green finance contributes to the conversion of traditional to renewable energy consumption. The effect of green finance on the transformation of energy consumption structure is mainly reflected in the direct effect. Therefore, the government should support the green finance, reduce traditional energy consumption and increase renewable energy consumption.

Abstract Background The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the quality of public health insurance and individuals’ consumption structure upgrades in China. Methods This study was conducted using data from a population of 6430 Chinese individuals aged 18 to 70 y from the 2017 Chinese Social Survey. We used multiple linear regression models and the two-stage least-squares model to explore the impact and heterogeneity of the quality of public health insurance on individuals’ consumption structure upgrades. Furthermore, we performed structural equation modelling to clarify the mediation effects of the impact. Results The quality of public health insurance was significantly correlated with individuals’ consumption structure upgrades (β = 0.368, SD = 0.084), and the impact of the quality of public health insurance on individuals’ hedonic consumption in urban regions was significantly higher than that in rural regions (β = 0.499, SD = 0.218). Furthermore, the quality of public health insurance could promote upgrades to individuals’ consumption structure by reducing the burden of medical expenses and stabilizing or increasing individuals’ expectations regarding the future economic level. Conclusion The results indicated that developing countries should implement additional measures to enhance the quality of public health insurance, which would not only help protect the health of individuals but also stimulate individuals’ consumption to achieve rapid economic growth.

Rapid development of Internet technology has led to great changes in all fields of life. Tourism industry has also gone to the Internet with the change of the times. Regarding the application of Internet technology in tourism, in fact, virtual tourism products are directly used to promote economic development. Online tourism stores have all kinds of tourism information in the database, realize network roaming, provide convenient information services for both the supply and demand of tourism, and can realize the rapid and stable sustainable development of tourism. This article mainly studies the evaluation of the virtual economic effect of emotional marketing of tourism products based on virtual reality (VR), the meaning algorithm of VR, etc., analyzes the virtual economy of tourism products based on VR, and helps tourism enterprises to grasp the needs of tourism consumers more accurately, so as to design products and services that are more in line with the demands of tourism consumers, the process of ultimately improving the user value. This study mainly uses the VR method, VR platform eye map processing, VR eye map regional detection and feature extraction method, and VR tourism product emotional marketing related experiments, to study the evaluation of the virtual economic effect of tourism product emotional marketing based on VR. The economic performance information of the virtual tourism industry is equivalent to the amount of these indicators, and the impact of the comprehensive evaluation on the economic performance of virtual tourism is quite equal. The results show that from 2017 to 2020, the virtual economic revenue of VR tourism product emotional marketing increased from 50 million to 1 billion. However, people give more importance to the tourism experience brought by virtual tourism products, and the reasonable consumption structure of virtual tourism hinders the improvement of tourism economic benefits. To promote the rationalization of the consumption structure of virtual tourism, the basic industry of tourism consumption is developed and the necessary design and processing is increased, in order to increase the supply of tourism products and to enrich tourism consumption.
