This paper reports progress of a SSHRC-funded research investigation that studies the factors affecting the success of digital literacy skills training offered by community-led organizations, such as public libraries, across Canada. The goal of the study is to identify best practices. The study also seeks to contribute to the theoretical understanding of digital literacy instruction led by community organizations. This paper reports preliminary results of the analysis of interviews with administrators and instructors from organizations in Canada which offer such training, as well as from interviews and surveys collected from people who took part in these organizations’ training activities. Cet article fait état de l'avancement d'une recherche financée par le CRSH qui étudie les facteurs influant sur le succès de la formation en littératie numérique offerte par des organismes communautaires, comme les bibliothèques publiques, partout au Canada. Le but de l'étude est d'identifier les meilleures pratiques. L'étude cherche également à contribuer à la compréhension théorique de l'enseignement de la littératie numérique menée par des organisations communautaires. Cet article présente les résultats préliminaires de l’analyse des entrevues avec des administrateurs et des formateurs d’organismes au Canada qui offrent une telle formation, ainsi que des entrevues et des sondages recueillis auprès de personnes ayant participé aux activités de formation de ces organismes.

The vital importance of knowledge management, in today’s complicated and changing environment as a source for strategic reconstruction of an organization cannot be denied. Furthermore, the effective sharing of knowledge is one of the most important success factors in an organization. This study aims at predicting the staff’s sharing of knowledge in the central library of the University of Isfahan. The conceptual framework for this study is consisted of the completed model of Theory of Reasoned Action. The statistical population of the current study contains the staffs of central library in university of Isfahan out of which 160 participants were studied by the census method. For the validity evaluation of the model, the structural equations model was applied and based on the results of path analysis relationship between research variables it was confirmed. The research results show that the expected organizational reward, reciprocal benefits, self-efficacy of knowledge, and enjoyment in helping others affect attitude and intention for the sharing of knowledge. The research findings indicate the positive impact of subjective norms on knowledge sharing intentions.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) has become the core of successful information management and is also the foundation of corporate information systems for treating with everything related to corporate processes. The ERP implementation has been considered a complicated process because introducing process is involved with different potential conditions and factors so that they may affect the ultimate performance of ERP systems. The aim of this study is to analyze success factors of introducing SAP system for ERP implementation in small and midsized firms. The authors first found out past critical factors affecting the ERP implementation by means of literature review in order to understand results of past studies. Next, the authors widely collected the critical success factors from previous studies and sifted out representative factors to make up a questionnaire. Through the pilot study and questionnaire revision, the authors identified the content of the questionnaire and started interviewing job. When interviewing activities were finished, they began to study and analyze the data. Survey results indicate that three of the most important factors affecting ERP implementation are “top management support and commitment”, “project manager’s competence” and “communication and coordination effectiveness”.

Online branding has become a crucial part of companies’ activity since the mid-90s, when internet expansion began. As internet activity starts playing bigger and greater roles in sales and marketing communications, online branding becomes more important. However, the challenge for organisations today is to advance their online business activities. To address this challenge, organisations need to understand the critical success factors for building an online brand. This paper discusses this issue proposes 9 critical factors classified into two categories and validated empirically through a sample of 150 university students. The significance, importance, and implications for each category are discussed and then recommendations are made.
