Bridges are considered as essential structures of the transport infrastructures, which play an essential role in any road network. Therefore, the process of planning and designing bridges needs to be made efficiently. The design of bridges usually consists of two stages: conceptual design and detailed design. Designers make decisions on the overall form of the structure in the conceptual design process. This process is defined as Multi-Criteria Decision-Making problems. In this study, a modified fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution method to deal with the conceptual design process under uncertainty is proposed. The proposed method uses an area-based deviation ratio to determine the degree of difference between alternatives and reference solutions of the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution method. Using this ratio incorporates the effects of the membership functions into the evaluation process. To illustrate the procedure of the proposed method, an example of multi-criteria assessment of bridge design including three Multi-Criteria Decision-Making problems with quantitative and qualitative criteria is used. For validation of the results of the modified fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution method, a comparative analysis is also made. The analysis shows that the results of the proposed method are consistent with the other method.

In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, social media is very influential in marketing company products, therefore companies interested in using social media need the role of content creators and employees. This is because the selection of prospective employees for content creators is still manual, and the selection of employees who are still related to family leads to an objective selection. Information technology and decision support systems need to be used as a tool to determine the selection of quality content creation staff using the WASPAS method, a combination of the WSM and WPM methods. By assigning weights to each criterion and then conducting a ranking evaluation process, this method can be used to solve the "multi-criteria decision making" problem. The result of this research is to find content creators who meet the standards of the WASPAS analysis method.

The purpose of this article is to outline a decision-making process and highlight which portions of the augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) evaluation process deserve special attention when deciding which features are required for a communication system in order to provide optimal benefit for the user. The clinician then will be able to use a feature-match approach as part of the decision-making process to determine whether mobile technology or a dedicated device is the best choice for communication. The term mobile technology will be used to describe off-the-shelf, commercially available, tablet-style devices like an iPhone®, iPod Touch®, iPad®, and Android® or Windows® tablet.

 Interests and number of STMIK Balikpapan new student enrollments are increasing every year. The balance of the ratio of lecturers to students is one of the most important components in improving the quality and teaching and learning process of a university. Avoiding shortages in the number of lecturers can be realized by providing scholarship programs to alumni and teaching assistants. This study aims to build a multi criteria decision making application that can assist the Head of HRD in the process of receiving scholarships to advanced and effective study lecturers. The multi criteria decision making application developed in this study uses the SAW method. The implementation of the SAW method includes the process of evaluating the weighting of criteria, evaluating alternative weights, the matrix process, the results of decision making preferences, resulting in the weighting and ranking of each alternative candidate for the scholarship recipient. The results of the evaluation of multi-criteria application decision making in the study are expected to produce modeling with a high degree of accuracy. The results of the analysis carried out can provide alternative recommendations for prospective scholarship recipients to advanced study lecturers in STMIK Balikpapan.

Banking has always played an important role in the economy because of its effects on individuals as well as on the economy. In the process of renovation and modernization of the country, the system of commercial banks has changed dramatically. Business models and services have become more diversified. Therefore, the performance of commercial banks is always attracting the attention of managers, supervisors, banks and customers. Bank ranking can be viewed as a multi-criteria decision model. This article uses the technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method to rank some commercial banks in Vietnam.
