The need of the customers to be connected to the network at all times has led to the evolution of mobile technology. Operating systems play a vitol role when we talk of technology. Nowadays, Android is one of the popularly used operating system in mobile phones. Authors have analysed three stable versions of Android, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0. Incorporating a change in the version after it is released requires a lot of rework and thus huge amount of costs are incurred. In this paper, the aim is to reduce this rework by identifying certain parts of a version during early phase of development which need careful attention. Machine learning prediction models are developed to identify the parts which are more prone to changes. The accuracy of such models should be high as the developers heavily rely on them. The high dimensionality of the dataset may hamper the accuracy of the models. Thus, the authors explore four dimensionality reduction techniques, which are unexplored in the field of network and communication. The results concluded that the accuracy improves after reducing the features.

Abstract—Bring Your Own Device (BOYD) is one of the current trends adopted widely by organizations. The reason for its positive reception is due to the benefit it brings to the organization through cost-efficiency, productivity levels, performance, and morale among the employee teams. Despite the benefits that BOYD brings about to organizations, many organizations are still skeptical about the threats and vulnerabilities that come about due to the human element in mobile technology. Within this context, the present paper provides an investigative approach to the role of the impact of the human element in the BOYD scheme. The paper concludes that to promote the adoption of BYOD in the organization, and there must be a renewed focus on building the element of trust and ensuring that the users can derive the maximum utility from the devices.

Background: Mobile technology has grown at an exceptional rate and is now a huge part of our daily living. This use of mobile technology has opened up new possibilities in treating health, with almost half of the current applications linked to the mHealth sector. In particular, dietary measurement, applications have become very accessible and very popular. As dietary issues have become more prevalent, more mobile and mHealth applications offer various solutions. This systematic review aims to address if the use of such mobile applications or mobile health technology can improve diet quality in adults that interact with them. Methods: A systematic review of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and non-randomised controlled trials (NRCTs) will be conducted. The Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (Cinahl), The American Psychological Association’s (APA Psycinfo), and PubMed will be searched from January 2010 to November 2021. Primary outcomes will include identifying if adults who use mobile applications and health technology improve their diet quality compared to adults who do not use this technology. Study selection will follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The methodological appraisal of the studies will be assessed independently by two different reviewers (AS and JR) using the Cochrane Risk-of-Bias Tool for RCTs and the Risk-of Bias In Non-Randomised Studies Tool for NRCTs. Ethics and dissemination: Ethical approval is not essential for this systematic review. Only data from studies that are publically available from previously published studies will be used. The findings of this systematic review will be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal and presented at relevant conferences. PROSPERO registration: CRD42021240224 (01/03/2021).

The impact of the swift evolution of technology has rippled across all areas of society with technological developments presenting solutions to some of society's greatest challenges. Within higher education, technology is welcomed with the necessary caution of a sector that is responsible for educating and empowering the future workforce. The progressive, and more recently accelerated, digitalisation of education causes the core practices and procedures associated with teaching and learning, including assessment, to be delivered in innovative formats. Technology plays a central role in the delivery of e-assessment, widening its possibilities and broadening its methods and strategies. This chapter aims to examine how innovative technologies are shaping and improving the delivery of e-assessment in the context of higher education. More specifically, it examines the role of artificial intelligence, gamification, learning analytics, cloud computing, and mobile technology in how e-assessment can be delivered.

This chapter explores the ways in which the language educator can be successful teaching culture together with language specifically in an asynchronous online environment. It provides examples of content, activities, and assessments that are meaningful, collaborative, and learner-centered, and that employ mobile technology familiar to the average instructor. In addition, it discusses the new role of the language professor in facilitating an integrated language and culture curriculum in a fully online setting. Through shifting the responsibilities and roles of the instructor, emphasizing social and teacher presence, and employing flexible learner-centered content and activities, previously face-to-face language classes can be successfully transformed to foster cultural competency asynchronously.
