This paper aims to effective combination between college physics and multimedia to optimize the teaching procedure of physics as a serious basic course in college. Through combining multimedia technology with the teachers' subjective initiative, perfecting multimedia course system based on the network, multimedia simulation laboratory organic coupling with real experimenting, we discusses how the actual teaching use of multimedia technology,explore the application of the rules and characteristics of multimedia technology. we are able to develop the advantages of multimedia and explore its potential so that we make it better service in physics teaching and enhance teaching effect .

Given the trend of societal informatization, modern education technologies represented by computer technology and network technology have been applied in class practice to enrich teaching content, fully improve students’ learning interest, and achieve teaching reform and innovation. This study proposes the use of virtual Starry Night teaching technology, establishes its connotation and education value, analyzes its supporting technology, and designs and implements a virtual Starry Night teaching environment. Virtual Starry Night teaching technology is a combined multimedia technology that is applied in the practice course Principles of Aesthetics. A teaching control experiment is then conducted. Results show that the virtual starry teaching technology can significantly boost students’ learning motivation and improve teaching effect. This approach is a teaching method that is worthy of promotion and attention.

Directing at the characteristics of the basic chemistry, the paper discusses the characteristics of the “Inorganic chemistry”, “organic chemistry”, “physical chemistry” and “analytical chemistry”, and points out that application of multimedia in the basic chemistry is in line with student’s learning and cognitive rules. And multimedia teaching can greatly improve the teaching efficiency, extend the class size and optimize the teaching effect, which is an important way to teaching reform of course in the Information Age. Then it analyzes the unique role played in teaching by media. While, if multimedia technology is not rationally used in this field, the results will be counterproductive. We try to display the advantages of multi-media teaching and strive to overcome its fault in the teaching process. We also do some discussion on the effects of improving the teaching continuously.
