The SWAN platform is an integrated suite of online resources and tools for assessing industrial symbiotic opportunities based on solid industrial waste reuse. It has been developed as a digital solid waste reuse platform and is already applied in four countries (Greece, Bulgaria, Albania and Cyprus). The SWAN platform integrates a database with the spatial and technical characteristics of industrial solid waste producers and potential consumers, populated with data from these countries. It also incorporates an inventory of commercially implemented best practices on solid industrial waste reuse. The role of the SWAN platform is to facilitate the development of novel business cases. Towards this end, decision support services, based on a suitable matching algorithm, are provided to the registered users, helping them to identify and assess potential novel business models, based on solid waste reuse, either for an individual industrial unit (source/potential receiver of solid waste) or a specific region.

Analytical and experimental studies have been carried out, which made it possible to propose new technological modes of combined rolling-extruding for the production of rods from alloy 01417 for the further drawing of wire for electrical purposes. The force parameters on the rolls and the die are calculated when extruding a rod with a diameter of 5 mm on the laboratory unit CRE-200 and the industrial unit CRE-400. The obtained values of the forces on the rolls and the die do not exceed the permissible values of the power load of the units. Therefore the selected parameters are suitable for conducting experiments on the manufacture of prototypes of rods. To verify the conclusions made, experimental studies were carried out on the CRE-200 unit at a temperature of 320 oC and a drawing coefficient μ = 12.1. The results of experimental studies in comparison with the calculated data showed that the deviation of the calculated data does not exceed 15%.

Entrepreneurs can be trained to start their industrial unit or a business or a service in different field if proper inputs in the form of training are given. The existence and making of an entrepreneur depend on a conducive environment. The development of an entrepreneurship depends on human factor and environment. In India where human resource found in plenty , individual with requisite entrepreneurial skill can be identified. It was in 1950 in India that the need for the entrepreneurial development was first felt end since then a substantial amount of research has gone in to this sphere. Initially this program was run by Gujarat Industrial and Investment Corporation, and its basic elements and characteristic were crystallized through repeated experiments unit 1978, when Gujarat’s financial institution and industrial, promotion agencies jointly sponsored a separate center for Entrepreneurship Development to administer the program. The center’s success in turn convinced India national financial institutions that the program was relevant for in 1983 to conduct research, offer expert advice, impart knowledge and help state-level agencies in carrying out their training.

The objective of this work was to analyze how the variation of traveled distance, operational speed, journey time and net cargo transported influence the fuel consumption of vehicles in forest road transport. The data were collected in this operation, covering the area between the regions of Campo do Tenente (forest unit) and Piên (industrial unit), in the state of Paraná. We analyzed the partial elements, loaded trip and empty trip, as well as the total transport cycle (loading, unloading and travel). Using the same mechanical tractor, two vehicular compositions were studied, an articulated vehicle (truck tractor + semitrailer + trailer) and a conjugated vehicle (truck tractor + semitrailer). The vehicle telemetric system was used to perform the data collection of travel time, traveled distance, speed average and fuel consumption of the both vehicles. The results showed that the higher fuel consumption occurred in the loaded trips for longer distances. The sensitivity of fuel consumption was mostly influenced by was traveled distance, so it is recommended the use of vehicles of less load capacity for shorter distances.

To satisfy the daily needs of an industrial unit, management should think seriously about Liquidity. Working Capital is such of capital that with the help of which a business remains in working condition. It remains live for any business units, Working Capital can be said to be its life. The role of working capital in business is akin to that o heart in the human body. Funds are the life blood of business body. Just as the hart circulates the blood to various organs of body, funds are rotated to various business activities through proper working capital management and any obstruction in the smooth rotation of funds, may causes serious problem in business operations. The generating of income from assets is a very good position in the majority of large and mid-cap companies, but VISA and KALYANI fail to increase its return on assets due to inefficient and ineffective uses of assets, so these companies should take necessary step to increase income by effective utilization of assets.Int.
