<p><span>This paper presents a rivew, investigation and performance analysis of novel down samples factor based modified space vector PWM is called clamping SVPWM technique for cascaded Multilevel Invereter fed to Induction motor drive. In this paper the reference sine wave generated as in case of conventional off set injected SVPWM technique is modified by down sampling factor the reference wave by order of 10. The performance analyses of this modulation strategies are analyzed by apply for five level, seven level, nine level and eleven level inverter. The performance analysis of cascaded inverter interms of line voltage, stator current, speed, torque and total harmonic distortion. The results are depicting that PD PWM is more effective among the four proposed PWM technique. It is observed that the CSV Pulse width modulation ensures excellent, close to optimized pulse distribution results compared to SPWM technique and also 11-level inverter beter performance in case of low THD and better foundemental output voltages comapared to 5, 7, 9-level inverter. The proposed technique has been simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. This proposed technique can be applied to N-level multilevel Inverter also.</span></p>

<p>This paper represent modelling &amp; simulation of indirect vector control for induction motor drive using two level and five level inverter. To overcome of lower order harmonics, THD &amp; speed torque characteristics of three phase squirrel cage induction motor. This paper provides solution through indirect vector control &amp; SPWM technique for multilevel inverter. A comparison and performance of two level and five level inverter are used in motor to control speed, current and torque. Matlab simulation environment are taken to simulate indirect vector control for induction motor drive using two level and five level inverter, so torque ripple minimization, lower order harmonics are reduced, constant speed, constant torque and variable speed variable torque are determined through simulation results. The applications under operating conditions are performed better THD, better reliability in AC drives.</p>

<p>This study presents a performance analysis of two most popular control strategies for Induction Motor (IM) drives: direct torque control (DTC) and space vector modulation (SVM) strategies. The performance analysis is done by applying field-orientation control (FOC) technique because of its good dynamic response. The theoretical principle, simulation results are discussed to study the dynamic performances of the drive system for individual control strategies using actual parameters of induction motor. A closed loop PI controller scheme has been used. The main purpose of this study is to minimize ripple in torque response curve and to achieve quick speed response as well as to investigate the condition for optimum performance of induction motor drive. Depending on the simulation results this study also presents a detailed comparison between direct torque control and space vector modulation based field-orientation control method for the induction motor drive.</p>
