Rocking machines of oil (RMO) are the main elements in the Russian oil industry in the field of low-yield wells. And increasing the energy efficiency of these machines is one of the most promising tasks in the interests of the oil and gas industry in Russia.The use of intelligent energy-saving stations for controlling the machine-shaker of oil on the basis of synchronous engines makes it possible to optimize oil production, by increasing the volume of production and saving energy resources. The main disadvantage of these stations is high cost, which is a deterrent for widespread use.One of the solutions to this problem is the use of a method that does not use the rotor position sensor, the so-called "sensorless method". However, all works related to the use of the "sensorless method" refer to the control systems of asynchronous motors.In this paper, the advantages of the control systems of a rocking machine on the basis of synchronous motors in front of asynchronous motors will be presented, the variants of motor control and the execution of the "sensorless method" are considered. Mathematical models of all elements of the control station are presented: rocking machine, synchronous motor, vector control system.

Over the years, value co-creation practices have become increasingly more important by supporting collaborative interactions and the achievement of sustainable and mutual competitive advantage between the ecosystem’ actors. In this direction, the oil and gas industry is proposing a sustainable re-use of offshore platforms based on value co-creation and resources exchange between the actors involved. According to this consideration, this work aims at re-reading the decommissioning of offshore platforms in the light of value co-creation practices, trying to capture the factors that governments and companies can leverage to pursue a sustainable development of local communities. To reach this goal, this work follows an exploratory approach by using, in particular, the case study. Specifically, one of the most notably projects in the Italian context have been chosen, the Paguro platform, in order to provide empirical insights into the nature of these value co-creation processes. Five value co-creation practices have been identified which highlight the importance of synergistic efforts of institutions, companies and technology-based platforms for improving the ability to co-create and capture value in the process of decommissioning. This exploratory work establishes a foundation for future research, and offers theoretical and managerial guidance in this increasingly important area.

The uncertainty of the source information is used to solve key tasks in an intelligent automated thermal process control system affects the calculation of control actions, the implementation of equipment optimal operating modes and, as a result, leads to degraded reliability. As a rule, this type of information can be qualitative (the use of expert knowledge) or quantitative in nature. In this regard, it is extremely important to reduce the impact of uncertainty. The aim of the study is to identify the types and origins of uncertainty in the source information used by an intelligent automated process control system and to develop approaches to reduce its impact on the reliability of power equipment operation. The approaches used to ensure the specified indicators of reliability, efficiency and environmental friendliness in modern intelligent automated process control systems are based on predictive strategies, according to which the technical condition of equipment and specific degradation processes are predicted. This means that various types of uncertainty can have a significant negative impact. To reduce the influence of uncertainty of the initial information that affects the reliability of power equipment operation, the use of artificial neural networks is proposed. Their application opens the possibility to predict the occurrence of equipment defects and failures based on retrospective data for specified forecast time intervals. A method for reducing the impact of anomalies contained in the source information used in an intelligent process control system for energy facilities is demonstrated. Data omissions and outliers are investigated, the elimination of which reduces the impact of uncertainty and improves the quality of solving key problems in intelligent automated process control systems. Experimental studies were carried out that made it possible to identify the mathematical methods for removing omissions and anomalies in the source information in the best way. Methodological aspects of eliminating various types of uncertainty that exist in managing of power facilities by means of intelligent automated process control systems at the key stages of the power equipment life cycle are described.

ABSTRACT This study investigates how seemingly similar external pressures elicited diverse sustainability reporting control systems and processes in a sample of Canadian companies in the oil and gas industry. Using interviews with companies and their stakeholders, we found that the type of sustainability reporting control systems depended on the managerial motivations and attitudes within companies as they responded to external pressures. More specifically, our results provide insight into how formal and informal sustainability reporting control systems were developed according to various managerial motivations and different types of stakeholder relationships. The type and balance between formal and informal control systems, in turn, influenced the sustainability reporting characteristics that the company was able to develop. We contribute to the literature by differentiating companies based on their institutional logics to deal with external pressures, managerial motivations, and stakeholder relationships, that in turn influenced their control system characteristics including reporting structures, information systems, and assurances.
