A Resource Organization Model for Ubiquitous Learning in a Seamless Learning Space

With continuous development of internet technology, the concept of ubiquitous learning and network learning space have received more and more attention from scholars, and gradually become the research focuses. College classroom has turned to network teaching from traditional teaching. In this study, literature review and case study were combined with ubiquitous learning and network learning space construction to systematically discuss classification and concept models of network learning space under the perspective of ubiquitous learning. Meanwhile, four models based on network learning space were proposed, and flipped classroom network teaching model was applied in the course of Exercise Physiology. The study showed that, the model has the good teaching effect in course teaching. It not just improves students’ interest, but also lays a foundation for popularizing the teaching mode.

Augmented Reality is generally used with mobile and ubiquitous technologies and they become widespread and are being used in education increasingly. Mobile and wearable devices as hard technologies, augmented and virtual reality as soft technologies has improved in a fast pace that we cannot predict what will the future introduce to us tomorrow. These hard and soft technologies provide immersive, enriched, situated and seamless learning experiences through mobile and ubiquitous learning. Considering the technology centric learning models, this chapter examines the mobile learning and augmented reality in terms of the opportunities they offer for learning. Following that, this study explains ubiquitous learning as a future learning model and use of augmented reality within this perspective.

In ubiquitous learning, authentic experiences are captured and later reused as those are rich resources for foreign vocabulary development. This article presents an experiential theory-oriented approach to the design of learning analytics support for sharing and reusing authentic experiences. In this regard, first, a conceptual framework to support vocabulary learning using learners' authentic experiences is proposed. Next, learning experiences are captured using a context-aware ubiquitous learning system. Finally, grounded in the theoretical framework, the development of a web-based tool called learn from others (LFO) panel is presented. The LFO panel analyzes various learning logs (authentic, partially-authentic, and words) using the profiling method while determining the top-five learning partners inside a seamless learning analytics platform. This article contributes to the research in the area of theory-oriented design of learning analytics for vocabulary learning through authentic activities and focuses on closing the loops of experiential learning using learning analytics cycles.
