The main cause of the disagreement between the actual and calculated output data of hydraulic percussion mining machines is the erroneous feed of manipulation signals by the control units. For the maximal fitting of the calculated and actual figures, the continuous method of control action using the third time derivative of the law of motion of the main function element is accepted, namely, the accuracy. The mathematical models of control using displacement, velocity and acceleration are developed. The service factors of mining machines are found. Based on the theory of control and the mathematical logic theory, the logical circuits of formation of manipulation signals in each phase of the working cycle are developed. The main elements are converters, integrators and accumulators ensuring decomposition of elements of the logical circuits and further generation of appropriate control action. It is found that the simplest way is to generate the control action for acceleration of the key function element. For the developed circuits, it is recommended to use general charts of the control action change, implementable for a certain design of hydraulic percussion cutting heads in certain operating conditions.

Superior mechanical and thermal properties in bulk polymers can be achieved by aligning the molecular chains through drawing-induced plastic deformation. Although highly aligned polymer films (HAPFs) are in demand, current fabrication methods are limited to manual, lab-scale batch processes. Here we report a continuous fabrication platform for HAPFs consisting of a three-step sol-gel extrusion, structure freezing and drying, and mechanical drawing process. First, a polymer-solvent solution is subjected to a high shear, high temperature, Couette flow extrusion into a thin film, resulting in initial chain disentanglement. Next, the extruded disentangled structure is frozen using a liquid N 2-cooled substrate, and then solvent is removed from polymer gel through ambient evaporation. Finally, dried films are mechanically drawn within a heated enclosure using a constant-force adaptive-thickness drawing system. The performance of this platform has been confirmed by fabricating polyethylene HAPFs with > 99% crystallinity and draw ratios up to 100× (creating continuous films > 15 m in length).

The effect of single-sided and double-sided harmonic surface waviness on the film thickness, pressure, and temperature oscillations in an elastohydrodynamically lubricated eccentric-tappet pair has been investigated in relation to the eccentricity and the waviness wavelength. The results show that, during one working cycle, the waviness causes significant fluctuations of the oil film, pressure, and temperature, as well as a reduction in minimum film thickness. Smaller wavelength causes more dramatic variations in oil film. The fluctuations of the pressure, film thickness, temperature, and traction coefficient caused by double-sided waviness are nearly the same compared with the single-sided waviness, but the variations are less intense.

The paper mainly studied the parametric drawing system of shaft based on feature. Firstly, the shaft was classified, and its characteristic was analyzed. Then, the special menu and image block menu of the system were designed in AutoCAD. And a friendly-interface parametric drawing system of shaft was built with geometry sculpts technology, object-oriented technology and parametric design technology, based on the platform of AutoCAD, with the development tool of Object ARX. It implemented the drawing of hardware working drawing of shaft according to the selected proportion, and improved the efficiency of the shaft design.Overview of shaftShaft is one of the main parts of machinery, depending on the axis shape; shaft can be divided into two categories: direct axis and crank shaft. According to the different load of the nature, direct axis can be divided into three types: spindle, drive shaft and the shaft. According to different shape, direct axis can be divided into two kinds: optical axis and stepped shaft. Optical axis has the following characteristics: simple shape, easy processing, less stress concentration source, optical axis is mainly used for drive shaft; Stepped shaft, in contrast to the optical axis. It is often used in the shaft. The classification of the shaft can be clearly said to use figure 1. In addition, there are some special shaft, such as the camshaft and wire soft shaft, etc.Fig. 1 Classification of the shaftOn the basis of the characteristics, the shaft information model can be considered. Usually a mechanical parts contains numerous features, shape features are the most important characteristics of these, which is the carrier of other information. We can decompose research the shape feature and think that some auxiliary features and the main features combined shape feature of axis, the main characteristics of the spatial position is adjacency relations; Auxiliary features is attached to a primary, auxiliary features can be attached to the main outline of the surface or end[1].Combining with the actual situation of this system, we analyze the features of commonly used straight shaft parts; we obtained the shape of the feature classification results as shown in table1.Table 1 Straight shaft parts classification of shape feature

The Magnetic Field

The image of magnetic field is traditionally obtained by spreading magnetic powder manually or by sparse arrays of magnetic needles, obtaining the images of the magnetic field in different permanent magnet shapes and do repeated tests on the permanent magnet are in need. Based on programmable logic controller (PLC) motion control, the servo control and mechanical system have been built, the control strategy is discussed and the software is programmed. 2D FEM model of a test permanent magnet bar is built. Compared with the FEM simulation results, the system has achieved the goal that spreading magnetic powder quickly and evenly in the appointed area.
