AbstractSyntheses of Nd2Fe14B magnetic powder by conventional method is a complicated multi-step process, which produces harmful pollutants and consumes a huge amount of energy and resources. Herein we report a simple chemical route for the preparation of (Nd–Pr)2Fe14B magnetic powder using monazite concentrate as a precursor. Th, U, Sm, and La impurities were removed from monazite leachate by roasting, solvent extraction and leaching the concentrate. Purified leachate consisting of Nd and Pr Chlorides was added to the FeCl3 solution, and the solution produced was co-precipitated with NaOH. RE and Fe hydroxide precipitates were converted to the oxides by annealing at 700 °C. Boric acid and CaH2 were added in the RE and Fe oxides produced, and this mixture was reduced and diffused to (Nd–Pr)2Fe14B. Magnetic properties of the (Nd–Pr)2Fe14B produced were enhanced by introducing antiferromagnetic coupling, induced by Dy addition and efficient removal of CaO byproduct through ball milling in ethanol which increased the BHmax from 3.9 to 11.45 MGOe. Process reported is energy efficient, environment-friendly, time saving and low-cost.

SYNTHESIS POLYMER MATRIX COMPOSITE EPOXY FeNdB-Cu FOR RADAR ABSORBER COATING APPLICATION. Radar (Radio Detection and Ranging) is a technology using the principle of electromagnetic for detecting, measuring, and mapping target coordinates. So stealth technology was created to tackle these threats, one of which is the radar absorber coating method (RAC). This research aims to identify the effect addition of Cu to Fe-Nd-B radar absorber material as polymer matrix composite (PMC). The processes were done by powder metallurgy method, started by milling and mechanical alloying process using planetary ball mill for 60 minutes 1000 rpm, 25 kg/mm2 of compaction load, and sintering at the temperature 1000 oC for 3 hours. The coating process was carried out conventional method as much as 1 layer, the variation of resin and magnetic powder are (95:5), (90:10), and (85:5) with the addition of Cu 1%wt. Based on the characterization the lowest RL was obtained at the composition (85:15) with the value 32.08 dB at the frequency of 10.36 GHz, magnetic characterization after doping addition coercivity 0.096 kOe and Saturation 5.22 kG. PMC hardness was raising following to addition of magnetic powder with the 29.2 HD Shore D, and adhesivity value was decreased following to addition of magnetic powder to 0.5 MPa.

In this paper, the effects of the structural parameters of magnetic-knitted fabric on human skin microcirculation (HSM) were studied in relation to magnetic polypropylene yarn, which was used as raw material. Three experimental factors were designed: the magnetic powder content of polypropylene, the feeding ratio of magnetic polypropylene (MP) and graphene viscous (GV), and stitch. Twelve pieces of seamless knitted fabric were prepared according to the comprehensive experimental design method. The BIV angiography was used to proceed with an HSM test of about 12 pieces of seamless knitted fabric. The results show the following: The magnetic powder content of polypropylene has the greatest influence on the blood flow promotion multiples of skin–blood microcirculation, followed by the feeding ratio of MP and GV, while stitch has the least influence. When the plating yarn feeding ratio was 100:0, the magnetic powder content of polypropylene was 50%, and the stitch was 1 + 1 false rib, meaning that the fabric could promote HSM more efficiently. This is compared against the common polypropylene knitted fabric, where the blood flow promotion multiples increased by 9.87%. The purpose of this study was to explore the structural parameters of magnetic polypropylene-knitted fabric that has a better effect on promoting HSM, and to provide a reference for the development of functional health-knitted fabrics.
