The paper briefly outlines the state of development of impulse technology. The schemes of hydraulic machines of impulse action with percussion mechanisms of the sixth and seventh classes are presented. The calculation of impulse mechanisms with a pneumatic chamber of the working stroke is given. The physical model of the drain pipeline is presented. Shown is a diagram of the forces acting on the striker during the working stroke. The dependence of the relative energy losses on the ratios of the cross-sectional areas of the working chamber and the drain pipeline is presented. Recommendations are given for the use of a pneumatic accumulator in the drain branch of the pipeline of a pulsed hydraulic mechanism with a pneumatic chamber of the working stroke

The Oscillating Water Column device (OWC) is one of the most used Wave Energy Converters (WECs) for wave energy harvesting. It consists essentially of two parts: the pneumatic chamber made of concrete and the bidirectional turbine linked to a generator group for energy production. In this study we are interested in the water motion oscillation inside the chamber resulting from the water level perturbation. This process is characterized by its own natural frequency and global damping. The vertical OWC chamber model is limited by the number of parameters defining the natural frequency and the global damping. The objective of this paper is to improve the performances obtained for the vertical OWC by considering an OWC with inclined sidewalls. For maximum efficiency, the device must operate in the resonance domain where the damping is low and the frequency of incoming waves matches with the natural frequency of the OWC. This will theoretically amplify the pneumatic energy to be converted to a mechanical one in the turbine.

Previous numerical and experimental works show that time delay technique is efficient to reduce transmissibility of vibration in a single pneumatic chamber by controlling the pressure in the chamber. The present work develops an analytical study to demonstrate the effectiveness of such a technique in reducing transmitted vibrations. A quarter-car model is considered and delayed hysteretic suspension is introduced in the system. Analytical predictions based on perturbation analysis show that a delayed hysteretic suspension enhances vibration isolation comparing to the case where the nonlinear damping is delay-independent.

Based on the main problems of tunneling technology and equipment configuration in the south side main entry of Zhangcun colliery, the mechanized line, support way and cement injection technique were investigated and reformed to solve the problems, then a new tunneling technology in south side main entry was proposed. The practical application result show that using different forms of mechanized tunneling lines can improve the loading and transportation efficiency of rock drift tunneling, correspondingly, improve tunneling speed of rock roadway; the support way and cement injection technique in new technology has a positive effect, create a condition for shortening the time of supporting on working face and cement injection and improve the tunneling speed greatly; with the new technology, the work efficiency improved from 0.88m/worker to 0.2m/worker, and increased by 227%.The project of two main entry driving will be completed in a year, and the ventilation system will be formed a year and a half in advance. According to the annual per capita salary sixty thousand Yuan, it can save labor costs 6.12 million Yuan. The good technology and economic effectiveness will be obtained.
