The understanding of ergonomics is a vital competency for all peripheral nerve block operators. The essence of physical ergonomics for peripheral nerve block procedures can be summarised into three significant components: brain, musculoskeletal and needling. The first component includes strategies to optimise visuospatial neuroprocessing using equipment configuration. The second component reflects the careful planning of posture and position to improve procedural technique and reduce physical fatigue. The final component focuses on strategies to achieve needle beam alignment for optimal needle visualisation.

Abstract Pigging of Once Through Steam Generators (OTSGs) indicated various types of scales, the most predominant of these being silicates of hardness causing ions. It was noted that scaling propensity can potentially go up with higher Steam Quality (SQ) as the reject stream gets concentrated with ions. However, models suggested that there are benefits of higher SQ in enhancing fuel savings (8%) and electricity savings (2%) when SQ was increased by 20%. The challenges of higher SQ were noted in terms of increased scaling tendency and therefore the need for improved softening. In Field D, the service cycle, the backwash cycle, and the brining cycle were optimized leading to a gain in throughput and reduction in salt consumption. Service cycle improvement gained 30 % to 130 % in throughput between two regenerations, backwash cycle improvement by fluidizing the bed to nearly 35% helped gain 10% in throughput, and reduction of brining cycle from 75 minutes to 48 minutes helped reduce salt consumption by 56% without impacting the throughput. In Field B, a six month pilot revealed that shallow shell resins where ion-exchange is more efficient due to inert core (better intra particle diffusion control) can enhance the throughput by 30% - 80% and simultaneously reduce the number of regenerations by 15 – 30%. Resin fouling is still a major challenge to contend with as oil can foul the resin and throughput can decline by 0.5 – 3 folds. In a plant operation, where there are multiple softener and brine vessels, there is a need to optimize them as a system. Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Models are used in Field C to a) Address equipment configuration optimization with impact on capital capacity expansion project scope b) Understand how net softwater delivery capacity was affected by increases in inlet hardness and c) Assess through a comparison scenario, if the large cost of addressing the valve issue in an upstream nutshell filter was worth the lost production opportunity related to unplanned downtime.

As the biggest country in power consumption and generation, China owns the largest scale of transmission line worldwide. The application of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in inspection has been carried out for many years in China because of its strong adaptability and safety compared to the traditional manual way. For the further development of UAV application technology in transmission line inspection, China has accumulated rich experiences and greatly improved line inspection efficiency and formed a relatively complete UAV transmission line inspection standardization system including operation safety management, an equipment configuration method, and functional quality requirements. However, there still exist some obstacles that need to be tackled due to the fact that China’s UAV transmission line inspection standardization and its international promotion have not been thoroughly and comprehensively studied at present. Based on an in-depth analysis of China’s current UAV transmission line inspection standardization system, this study employs SWOT-PEST analysis to insightfully investigate international promotion opportunities/challenges under the current situation, upon which several constructive suggestions are proposed from four aspects of politics, economy, society, and technology. The ultimate purpose is to design feasible schemes to boost the international promotion of China’s UAV transmission line inspection standardization and further development of international UAV inspection technology.

Рассмотрены вопросы, связанные с проведением пусконаладочных работ биоблока станции очистки хозяйственно-бытовых и близких к ним по составу сточных вод при пробном пуске в эксплуатацию очистных сооружений. Подробно рассмотрены этапы пусконаладочных работ биоблока очистных сооружений с «затравкой» активным илом из действующих биологических очистных сооружений и с дозировкой легкоокисляемой органики. Описан состав оборудования станции КОС-9 производства «Гермес Групп». Рассмотрены все этапы пусконаладочных работ биоблока на примере запуска очистных сооружений КОС-9 с привлечением многочисленных опытных данных. Определены периоды этапов пусконаладки биоблока. Приведены проблемы наладки биоблока и пути их решения с достижением требуемого результата. Технология, используемая на станции, обеспечивает очистку сточных вод, соответствующую требованиям, предъявляемым к выпуску очищенных стоков в водоем рыбохозяйственного значения. Issues related to commissioning a biological treatment plant at the facilities for household and similar in composition wastewater treatment during the trial start of the treatment facilities are considered. The stages of commissioning a biological treatment plant at the wastewater treatment facilities with «inoculating» activated sludge from the operating biological treatment facilities and with dosing easily oxidable organic matter are considered in detail. The equipment configuration of the WWTP-9 produced by Germes Group is described. All stages of the biological treatment plant commissioning are considered through the example of the start-up of WWTP-9 with the use of numerous experimental data. The periods of biological treatment plant commissioning stages have been determined. The problems of adjusting the biological treatment plant and the ways of their elimination to achieve the required result are presented. The technology used at the WWT facilities provides for the effluent quality that meets the requirements for the discharge into a water body of commercial fishing importance.

The article describes a five-lamp pumping station and a semi-automatic stamping machine for the production of bactericidal ultraviolet lamps. Standard methods of production and testing of pumping stations and stamping machines were analyzed. In the course of work and on the basis of the conducted research, the technical characteristics and equipment configuration were worked out. The pumping station is designed for processing simultaneously five products that will later be bactericidal ultraviolet lamps, including: decontamination of products, oxidation of electrodes, filling products with a gas mixture to the working pressure, loading amalgam and desoldering. This equipment ensures the fulfillment of the production volume for the production of bactericidal lamps. When designing and manufacturing electrical equipment, components from the world's leading manufacturers are used. The use of high-quality materials can significantly increase the efficiency of equipment operation. The latest technical solutions combined with a well-thought-out design make it possible to successfully integrate this equipment into integrated automated control systems.

Taking a project’s integrated logistics dry port as an example, the advantages and disadvantages of several commonly used refrigerants and their systems are compared and analyzed from safety, environmental protection and energy saving. The technical principles of the NH3 / CO2 refrigerant cooling system are briefly described, and the introduction is also introduced. The refrigeration system selection, equipment configuration and automatic control system scheme of the project refrigerator were provided, which can provide a reference for the selection of the refrigeration scheme of the cold chain project in the future.

The article describes an illustrative example of IoT-solutions that students can independently design and create using virtualization and containerization tools in a Virtual Computer Lab (VCL) environment. This article will allow you to more accurately represent the conditions and limitations that have to be overcome in traditional computer classes, as well as design requirements for a special VCL circuit, which will allow students to send requests for equipment configuration, inventory equipment, implement an intelligent queue and resource management system, and also verify correct connections of equipment based on machine earning with reinforcement. Learning the basics of designing IoT-solutions on Arduino and Raspberry Pi and creating management software allows you to train specialists who can contribute to the creation and development of high-tech advanced software and technology solutions.
