This article is describing the way of construction and operation of an oscillating water column system in order to recover as much as possible from the waves energy. The oscillating water column plant is used for the production of electrical energy by tidal currents, and it is currently the most widespread and economical method for the conversion of wave motion. The environmental impact of these infrastructures remains very low: no emissions of gas or any waste during their operation. In addition, the swell is a formidable source of energy.

Abstract Since cotton cleaning in Uzbekistan is carried out mainly manually, this paper discusses the methods and technologies established in the process of cleaning cotton and fiber. The process of fiber cleaning is one of the important processes that complete the technological process of cotton processing, given that the quality of fiber largely depends on the efficiency of this process, the research work on the mechanization of the type of collection and improving the efficiency of its cleaning is analyzed. In order to improve the efficiency of cleaning cotton collected on the machine, information is provided on the need to improve the equipment for cleaning fiber used in cotton gins. The research results are based on the need to replace a special structural device that guides the fiber to the correct tooth of the first sawtooth cylinder located on two drum cleaning plants. New fiber-cleaning equipment was installed in the Jizzakh regional JSC “Zarbdor cotton cleaning» and experimental tests were conducted in production conditions. In addition, the process of changing the pressure, density and speeds in the furnace and the effect of their cleaning efficiency has been modeled and theoretically analyzed, when the efficiency of cleaning the cotton fiber flow using a column system allows changing the raw material from 4 mm to 15 mm based on the device. By results of the conducted analysis it was shown that the increase of efficiency of purification depends on the device attached to the saw teeth, factor of the taxation of the distribution coefficient B and p 0 efficiency factor of increasing the initial pressure and coefficient of efficiency savings from the analysis of graphs, which present graphs of the distribution depending on the type of saw teeth. Based on the results of the research, recommendations are given for the widespread introduction of fiber cleaning equipment installed at enterprises of primary cotton processing, with the installation of a special structural guide device.

The paper considers the limitation problem of the distillation column systems separating multicomponent mixtures with serial and parallel structures. The solution takes into account the irreversibility of processes. Using entropic balance conditions, the dependence of load on heat consumption is obtained for a binary distillation column. This dependence is parameterized through two characteristic coefficients–reversible efficiency and irreversibility factor. This dependence was used to solve problems of distribution of heat and raw material fluxes in parallel column structure and selection of optimal separation order in serial structure. The obtained results make it possible to estimate the minimum heat consumption for the separation of a given flow of raw materials, the maximum productivity, and efficiency of the system.

Abstract Wells turbine is an important component in the oscillating water column (OWC) system. Thus, many researchers tend to improve the performance via experiment or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation, which is cheaper. As the CFD method becomes more popular, the lack of evidence to support the parameters used during the CFD simulation becomes a big issue. This paper aims to review the CFD models applied to the Wells turbine for the OWC system. Journal papers from the past ten years were summarized in brief critique. As a summary, the FLUENT and CFX software are mostly used to simulate the Wells turbine flow problems while SST k-ω turbulence model is the widely used model. A grid independence test is essential when doing CFD simulation. In conclusion, this review paper can show the research gap for CFD simulation and can reduce the time in selecting suitable parameters when involving simulation in the Wells turbine.

In recent years, the remediation of hazardous organic dye-contaminated aquatic habitats has been a key research priority for environmental and chemical engineers. The goal of this research was to see how well malachite green adsorbs from waste water in a continuous column system having fixed bed. A biosorbent made from waste materials such as hen feathers has been shown to extract the water-soluble malachite green colour from waste water. The adsorption potential of malachite green dye ions in a continuous flow adsorption column is investigated in this work. The hen feathers' performance in the fixed bed column was assessed under a variety of operating circumstances, including bed height in the range 6-10cm; flow in the range 4-12ml/min, and starting concentration (10-30 mg/l). In comparison to other testing settings, the bed height (8cm), flowrate (12ml/min), and maximum input concentration (20mg/l) resulted in the highest malachite green absorption of 2.829mg/g. The column experimental data collected under various conditions was evaluated using three distinct models namely 1. Bohart-Adams model, 2 Yoon-Nelsons model, and 3 BDST model, all of which produced a decent estimation of the breakthrough curve. The findings from the Yoon-nelson and BDST models, on the other hand, were more favourable. The several characteristics of the hen feathers were studied using FTIR studies. The activated hen feather powder was a successful potential bio sorbent for the malachite green from aqueous phase.
