Investigation of the elastic state of curve beam system had been considered in [3]. In this paper the elastic-plastic state of curve beam system in the form of cylindrical shell is analyzed by the elastic solution method. Numerical results of the problem and conclusion are given.

A technique for elastic-plastic analysis of a thick-walled elastic-plastic cylinder under internal pressure is proposed. It involves two parametric functions and piecewise linearization of the stress-strain curve. A deformation type of relationship is combined with Hooke’s law in such a way that stress-strain law has the same form in all linear segments, but each segment involves different material parameters. Elastic values are used to describe elastic part of deformation during loading and also during unloading. The technique involves the use of deformed geometry to satisfy the boundary and other relevant conditions. The value of strain energy required for deformation is found to depend on whether initial or final geometry is used to satisfy the boundary conditions. In the case of low work-hardening solid, the difference is significant and cannot be ignored. As well, it is shown that the new formulation is appropriate for elastic-plastic fracture calculations.

The problem of elastic plastic deformation of a thin-walled pipe under co-binned loading by bending moment, axial force and internal pressure is considered. The problem is solved by the developed method using the Matcad mathematical package by a numerical method based on the deformation theory of plasticity and the momentless theory of shells. To simplify the solution of the problem, it is proposed to reduce a twodimensional problem to a one-dimensional problem about beam deformation, the material of which has different deformation diagrams under compression and tension in the axial direction. Comparison with the results of numerical solution of the two-dimensional problem with the finite element method in the elastic plastic formulation is carried out. The obtained results of the elastic-plastic solution for the bending moment in the pipeline section under combined loading make it possible to clarify criterion ratio of the strength of the pipeline section with an annular defect in the direction of reducing the rejection. Application of the developed approach allows to rank pipeline sections with non-design bending in the steppe close to the limit state under combined loading of the pipeline with bending moment, longitudinal force and internal pressure.

This paper discusses the behaviour of hollow tubes with axisymmetric internal projections subjected to combined axial and internal pressure loading. Predictions from an extensive elastic and elastic-plastic finite element analysis are presented for a typical geometry and a range of loading combinations, using a simplified bilinear elastic-perfectly plastic material model. The axial loading case, previously analysed, is extended to cover the additional effect of internal pressure. All the predicted stress and strain data are found to depend on the applied loading conditions. The results are normalized with respect to material properties and can therefore be applied to geometrically similar components made from other materials, which can be represented by the same material models.

Stresses for the elastic-plastic transition and fully plastic state have been derived for a thin rotating disc with shaft at different temperatures and results have been discussed and depicted graphically. It has been observed that the rotating disc with inclusion and made of compressible material requires lesser angular speed to yield at the internal surface and higher percentage increase in angular speed to become fully plastic as compare to disc made of incompressible material. With the introduction of thermal effect the rotating disc with inclusion required lesser angular speed to yield at the internal surface. Rotating disc made of compressible material with inclusion requires higher percentage increase in angular speed to become fully-plastic as compare to disc made of incompressible material. Thermal effect also increases the values of radial and circumferential stresses at the internal surface for fully-plastic state. .

Elastic-plastic transitional stresses in a transversely isotropic thick-walled cylinder subjected to internal pressure and steady-state temperature have been derived by using Seth's transition theory. The combined effects of pressure and temperature has been presented graphically and discussed. It has been observed that at room temperature, thick-walled cylinder made of isotropic material yields at a high pressure at the internal surface as compared to cylinder made of transversely isotropic material. With the introduction of thermal effects isotropic/transversely isotropic cylinder yields at a lower pressure whereas cylinder made of isotropic material requires less percentage increase in pressure to become fully-plastic from its initial yielding as compared to cylinder made of transversely isotropic material.
