With the realization of physical memristors, using memristors to perform stateful logic operations has been demonstrated feasible. In such operations, memristors simultaneously serve as latches and logic gates, thus enabling the in-situ computing which may open a new computing paradigm for computer architecture. In this paper, we first analyze two types of typical memristive stateful logic gates to reveal the working mechanism of the stateful logic, and then review the recent researches on the memristive stateful logic, and finally discuss the pros and cons of the stateful logic. We reach the conclusion that the stateful logic promises a novel computing paradigm which may revolutionize the conventional computer architecture, while its development is currently subjected to the state drift problem and is constrained by the lack of a general design methodology and physically verification.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop a framework for the manufacturer of a make-to-order company to simultaneously negotiate with multiple customers through mediator to achieve order acceptance decisions (OADs). Design/methodology/approach The paper developed mathematical models for the manufacturer, as well as customers to revise their offers during negotiations. Moreover, the paper also proposed a method for the mediator to carry out his assigned duties to assist in negotiation. In the decision process, mediator acts as a bridge between the manufacturer and customers to reach an agreement. A numerical example is enumerated to illustrate the working mechanism and superiority of proposed framework as compared to the framework where simultaneous negotiations are carried out without the presence of mediator. Findings Iterative method of negotiation conducted without mediator leads to delay in reaching agreement as the aspiration level of manufacturer offer and counter-offer of customer will never cross each other. In addition, the party who submits the offer first may suffer as the opponent can take the advantage of his/her offer during negotiation, thereby, derailing the issue of fairness. Introducing mediator between the manufacturer and the customer for their negotiations could overcome these two issues. Numerical analysis clearly illustrates that, in average, the rounds of negotiation to reach an agreement can be reduced by 22 percent using proposed negotiation framework. In addition, the fairness in negotiations can be improved by 33 percent with the incorporation of mediator. Originality/value Through continuing research efforts in this domain, certain models and strategies have been developed for negotiation. Iterative method of negotiations without mediator will help neither the manufacturer nor the customer in terms of fairness and negotiations round to reach an agreement. To the best of the author’s knowledge, so far, this is the first instance of research work in the domain of OAD and negotiation framework that attempts to incorporate mediator for simultaneous negotiation between manufacturer and customers on multiple issues simultaneously.

Demands for higher fuel efficiency for off-highway applications motivate manufacturers to replace existing drive transmissions with more complex, high-efficiency transmissions. Increased intelligence and more advanced architectures are, however, more difficult to design and prototype. This leads to longer product development processes and a greater need for early product evaluation. The great variety of existing concepts also requires a methodology to support the choice of architecture. This paper proposes a design methodology for complex hydromechanical transmissions based on optimization. The main objective is to maximize energy efficiency and adapt the design to suit the typical operating behavior of the application. The methodology is also implemented on a multiple mode transmission concept sui for a heavy wheel loader application. It is shown that the design of the gearbox heavily influences the energy consumption and the necessity to use optimization when designing the gearbox.

The purpose of the work is to accurately calculate the forces acting on the working mechanism of wheel loader when excavating granulated material. In order to examine mobile machines movement processes, MSC.ADAMS is used to carry out multi-body system simulation and hydraulics sub-system simulation. Because the flexibility of the component of the working mechanism of wheel loader can not be neglected, ANSYS is used to compute the data describing the behaviour of the flexible component of working mechanism of wheel loader. Based on the Fundamental Earthmoving Equation, this paper describes a methodology and basic formulations of forces between the tool and the material to be moved as well as the internal forces in the pile to be dug from. The method has been implemented in an MSC.ADAMS model of a working mechanism wheel loader. The numerical simulation test on LCM(Linyi Construction Machinery) Wheel Loaders under various position of working equipment will be done to predict the forces acting on the machines during digging cycles.

Objective: Tourism has become the main engine of economic, social and environmental development in several countries, so promoting tourism awareness among tourists and the local population should be a priority. The present study aims to suggest a status of the research carried out on the topic of tourism awareness. Design / methodology / approach: The type of analysis is through a retrospective and exploratory bibliometric study. The analysis materials were scientific articles and a training manual published between 2000 and 2020, registered by Scopus, Emerald insight and Dialnet, using “tourism awareness” as the keyword. Results: When considering the three senses in which tourism awareness ought to operate, it is concluded that studies are more focused on the relationship and contact of the host community with the tourist. It is observed that four out of six articles in this sense consider that education, training, and government policies around tourism awareness should be developed in a better way in the destinations, in order to be an element that contributes to the development of communities and reduces poverty in developing countries. Study limitations / implications: It is considered a limitation not to include thesis dissertations. Findings / conclusions: It is necessary to make visible the importance of tourism awareness as a local development strategy for communities, in addition to including tourism awareness on the part of tourists.
