Several species of the genus Aphidius are well known as commercial biocontrol agents of pest aphids, and more than 130 species of the genus have been recorded worldwide. To date, only 15 Aphidius species have been recorded in South Korea. Using the DNA barcode region (ca. 658 bp) of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI), we amplified sequences of 15 Aphidius Korean species, aligned them in combination with 23 reference species retrieved from GenBank for comparison and identification, and then reconstructed a barcode phylogeny by the neighbour-joining method. As a result, three Aphidius species were found to be new to Science. Descriptions and illustrations of the three species new to Science – Aphidius longicarpussp. nov., A. longistigmussp. nov., and A. asiaticussp. nov. – are provided, together with their phylogenetic position within the genus Aphidius. In addition, a redescription of A. areolatus, a parasitoid of maple aphids (Peryphillus spp.), is also given.

The species of the genus Phaenocarpa Foerster, 1863 (Braconidae: Alysiinae) from South Korea are revised, and the genus is recorded for the first time from South Korea. Three species, Phaenocarpa artotemporalissp. nov., P. brachyurasp. nov. and P. lobatasp. nov., are new to Science, and two species, P. masha Belokobylskij, 1998 and P. fidelis Fischer, 1970, are newly recognized in South Korea. They are described and illustrated herein with a provision of the identification key to the Korean species. In addition, the DNA barcode region of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) has been analyzed for the six species including P. ruficeps for genetic comparison.

The material of the genus Mycomya Rondani from South Korea is revised. The following three new species are described: M. yamagishii sp. n., M. mogera sp. n., and M. sudosanensis sp. n. Mycomya winnertzi (Dziedzicki), M. dziedzickii Väisänen, M. occultans (Winnertz), M. wuorentausi Väisänen, and M. paradentata Väisänen are recorded as new to the South Korean fauna. A key is given to the South Korean species.

Three new species of the genus Symmorphus Wesmael, 1836 are described with materials from South Korea and Far eastern Russia: Symmorphus kurzenkoi Kim sp. nov., S. truncatoclypeus Kim sp. nov., S. yamanei Kim sp. nov. All are members of the subgenus Symmorphus Wesmael 1836. S. kurzenkoi Kim sp. nov. is likely to be closely related to Symmorphus fuscipes in having well developed and completely closed propodeal submedian carina, but is clearly different from the latter in the shape of metasomal tergum 1 that is not markedly narrowed toward base. Within the S. murarius group proposed by Cumming 1989, Symmorphus truncatoclypeus Kim sp. nov. is unique in having a clypeus with apical margin completely truncated. S. yamanei Kim sp. nov. is separated from congeners by following combination of characteristics: uniformly lengthened mesosomal setae; vestigial epicnemial carina; areolate mesepimeron; propodeal submedian carina that is somewhat strongly developed though doubled and not clearly closed dorsally; weakly raised basal transverse carina on metasomal tergum 1; faintly foveate-reticulate dorsomedian portion of metasomal tergum 1. Re-description of S. tsushimanus Yamane 1990, which is the most poorly known species in the Far East, is presented based on the holotype. Finally, an updated revised determination key to Far Eastern species, supplemented by digital images and line drawings, is given.

We report the occurrence of the genus Bicorniphontodes George, Glatzel & Schröder, 2019 in Korean waters, with descriptions of three new species: Bicorniphontodes lacuna sp. nov., B. comptus sp. nov., and B. huysi sp. nov. Morphology analysis was carried out to reconstruct the phylogenetic relationships of Bicorniphontodes species, including the three new species. Parsimony analysis based on 41 characters revealed that the three new species are clustered together as a monophyletic clade, of which B. horstgeorgei (George & Gheerardyn, 2015) is a sister species. The monophyletic status of three new species was supported by five synapomorphies, such as the micro-morphological conditions of the exopodal segments of the first leg, coxae of the second to fourth legs, exopod of the fifth leg in the female and baseoendopod of the fifth leg in the male, and the maxillular endopod represented by two setae. These three species can be easily distinguished based on the morphology of the rostrum, cephalothoracic processes, female genital double-somite, caudal rami, and second endopodal segment of the third leg in the male. The taxonomic position of B. bicornis sensu Kim, 2013 in Korean fauna was reevaluated based on the newly collected material from Udo Islet near Jeju Island; this resulted in a synonym of B. huysi sp. nov.

New material of water mites (Acari: Hydrachnidia) from the Uttarakhand State of India is reported, including a new species, Kongsbergia indica sp. nov. (Aturidae), and new records of the species Sperchon garhwalensis Kumar, Kumar & Pešić, 2007, Sperchon indicus Kumar, Kumar & Pešić, 2007, and Atractides indicus Pešić & Smit, 2007. Moreover, in the light of the newly discovered male of Torrenticola turkestanica (Sokolow, 1926), populations from South Korea and Thailand formerly assigned to the latter species are here attributed to two new species, i.e., T. wonchoeli sp. nov. and T. rangareddyi sp. nov., respectively.
