To keep away from non-renewable fossil energy, clean and green wind energy is one of the sustainable sources in nature that produce the electrical power with no-fossil energy issues. The fastest growing type of renewable energy is the wind energy due to its free availability and environmental problems. Wind energy conversion systems (WECSs) assume a significant part in the new production of electric power from renewable sources. Due to the technical progress in the wind turbine manufacturing, we have many types of wind turbines in use around the world. Many kinds of generators were used in the WECS. In this paper a comparison between three types of generators exploited in WECSs will be introduced. These types are self-excited induction generators (SEIGs), doubly-fed induction generator (DFIGs) and switched reluctance generators (SRGs). The comparison between the generators includes the speed range of operation, fault sensitivity, power ratings and the suitable types of wind turbines used for the three generators, moreover the control techniques applied.

Wind energy is being widely developed to replace the fossil energy and protect the environment against pollution. This paper proposes a novel dual-rotor radial flux permanent-magnet (DRRFPM) wind turbine with the toroidally-wound windings which can apparently improve the utilization coefficient of wind energy. Two concentric surface-mounted PM rotors are located inside and outside of a cup stator with back-to-back windings, respectively. The configuration, features, and design principle of the proposed machine are introduced. The magnetic circuit approach is used to analyze the machine with a simplified motor topology. To verify the accuracy of the present model, two-dimensional finite element method (FEM) is conducted for the modeled machine to validate the characteristics and performances of the proposed DRRFPM wind turbine.

Indonesia is actively developing the potential for renewable energy as a substitute for depleting fossil energy reserves. Wind energy is clean energy without polluting the environment. Wind energy in Indonesia has great potential, but it is still not optimal enough for its utilization. One form of alternative energy that can be utilized as mechanical energy by wind turbines to convert into electrical energy by dc generators. Ventilators that operate for 24 hours function to suck air and, located on the roof of a warehouse, sports hall .. Utilization of wind to become electrical energy, is designed from the use of a ventilator turbine as a medium to convert wind into motion energy, where the movement of the turbine is continued by pulley and v-belt comparisons to the generator, this generator produces electricity. This research examines how much electrical energy is produced at different wind speeds ranging from 3 to 5.4 m/s. From the tests conducted, the generator rotation, and the lowest voltage is at wind speed of 3 m/s which is 3.6 V. while the generator speed and the highest voltage is obtained if the wind speed is 5.4 m/s which is 10.3 V.

Dari nilai k dan c didapatkan bahwa persentase probabilitas energi angin paling banyak pada tahun 2016 yaitu 2,5 m/s sebanyak 45%  sedangkan tahun 2017 sebesar 2,6 m/s dengan probabilitas 70%.Kata kunci: energi angin, kecamatan pangarengan, distribusi weibull ABSTRACTIndonesia's dependence on fossil energy availability is a new problem in the survival of the Indonesian people in the future. Fossil energy that is limited and non-renewable will run out in a certain period of time. So that new steps are needed to use new and renewable energy such as wind energy. This research was conducted to determine the potential for the construction of wind power plants in the Pangarengan District, Sampang Madura District. This research was conducted by analyzing wind speed based on data from anemometer measurements using the Weibull distribution. The data used are secondary data obtained from BMKG Kalianget Sumenep. Based on the weibull distribution it was found that the parameters k were 2.67 and c were 2.88. From the values of k and c, it was found that the percentage of probability of wind energy was the most in 2016, which was 2.5 m/s as much as 45% while in 2017 it was 2.6 m / s with a probability of 70%.

Last decade as prices of fossil energy resources were almost constantly going upwards, increasing flow of investments is directed to renewable energy resources. Development and application of green energy became one of priority objectives in many countries. While in the context of wind energy production Lithuania lags behind the EU average, its potential of wind energy usage has great perspective. In this article using random processes, cost-benefit and financial analysis, attractiveness of investment in wind energy projects is examined. Given the stochastic nature of wind energy and by looking into investment profitableness and risk factors, effectiveness of wind turbine is evaluated. Analysis showed that wind energy projects could be considered as having high profit-to-risk factor and should generate significant interest of investment community.
