The aim of the study was to assess the role of the cellular component of the stroma in liver regeneration after its toxic damage. The experimental model of toxic hepatitis caused by intraperitoneal administration of tetrachloromethane (CCl4) showed that regeneration processes in the liver on the 3rd day are manifested in an increase in binuclear hepatocytes, Ki-67 + cells and hepatocytes dividing by mitosis. The reaction of the stromal component is expressed in an increase in the number of CD45 +, mast and sinusoidal cells (SC). On the 7th day of the development of toxic hepatitis the hepatocyte alteration increases, that is accompanied by a sharp decrease in the mitotic index and the number of Ki-67 + cells. In the stromal component there is a decrease in the number of sinusoidal cells, CD45 + and a significant increase in mast cells with a high secretion granule content.

A self-assembly model for porous hydrate structures is proposed, which takes into account the sequence of basic physical processes: hydrate growth on the surface of the aqueous solution, formation of islet structure, capillary flow, separation and transfer of secondary crystallization nuclei to the meniscus. The model was studied within the cellular automata method. A good correspondence between the results of the simulation and the experimental data is obtained.

A theoretical study of the potential-time response to sinusoidal current applied to static and dynamic electrodes for regeneration processes is presented. Methods for determination of the regeneration fraction, rate constant of the chemical reaction and heterogeneous kinetic parameters are proposed.

The same-sex couples highlighted in this narrative are members of the “families of choice” cohorts that arose during the 1980s. Although they were establishing a new family form, the mothers in a two-mother family told their child that he had a sperm donor “father” whom he could meet when he turned eighteen. When the meeting occurred, the two formed a limited father-child bond. The donor provides emotional support, but he does not offer any material support. When other offspring from the same donor contact him, the donor introduced the donor siblings to each other. The members of this network reconsider ideas about the relative influence of nature and nurture. Yet ideas about chosen families remain central to the manner in which the members relate to one another. Born between 1986 and 1990, the kids in this network were between twenty-four and twenty-eight years old at the time of the interviews.
