Regulation of the Head of National Institute of Public Administration (Lembaga Administrasi Negara: LAN) Number 13 year 2013 as amended by Regulation of the Head of National Institute of Public Administration Number 20 year 2015 on the Guidelines for the Implementation of Education and Training Program on Grade-IV Leadership Management mandates to apply other learning methods in addition to classical method, as: adviser (Coaching and mentoring) and counseling. One of the problems in implementing this education and training program is applying coaching method. Ineffective Coaching method can cause participants to be less motivated and the training output is not optimal. There are many methods of coaching, but what methods are most effective and efficient to apply in this Grade-IV leadership management education and training program? Study on the impact of Coaching methods for effective learning on participants in Education and Training Program on Grade-IV Leadership Management batch II and III year 2018 at the Human Resource Development Center for Apparatus, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), was conducted by using a qualitative approach. The discussion in this study is focused on what the effect of several Coaching methods for participants of Education and Training Program on grade-IV Leadership Management. Results show that Coaching is done through stimulation, powerful questions, and creative dialogue so that participants get the best achievement as expected.

Abstract Objective Although there is an expectation for outcomes-oriented training in residency programs, the reality is that few guidelines and examples exist as to how to provide this type of education and training. We aimed to improve patient care outcomes in our pediatric residency program by using quality improvement (QI) methods, tools, and approaches. Methods A series of QI projects were implemented over a 3-year period in a pediatric residency program to improve patient care outcomes and teach the residents how to use QI methods, tools, and approaches. Residents experienced practice-based learning and systems-based assessment through group projects and review of their own patient outcomes. Resident QI experiences were reviewed quarterly by the program director and were a mandatory part of resident training portfolios. Results Using QI methodology, we were able to improve management of children with obesity, to achieve high compliance with the national patient safety goals, improve the pediatric hotline service, and implement better patient flow in resident continuity clinic. Conclusion Based on our experiences, we conclude that to successfully implement QI projects in residency programs, QI techniques must be formally taught, the opportunities for resident participation must be multiple and diverse, and QI outcomes should be incorporated in resident training and assessment so that they experience the benefits of the QI intervention. The lessons learned from our experiences, as well as the projects we describe, can be easily deployed and implemented in other residency programs.

Abstract Electronic medical records have been touted as a solution to many of the shortcomings of health care systems. The aim of this essay is to review pertinent literature and present examples and recommendations from several decades of experience in the use of medical records in primary health care, in ways that can help primary care doctors to organize their work processes to improve patient care. Considerable problems have been noted to result from a lack of interoperability and standardization of interfaces among these systems, impairing the effective collaboration and information exchange in the care of complex patients. It is extremely important that regional and national health policies be established to assure standardization and interoperability of systems. Lack of interoperability contributes to the fragmentation of the information environment. The electronic medical record (EMR) is a disruptive technology that can revolutionize the way we care for patients. The EMR has been shown to improve quality and reliability in the delivery of healthcare services when appropriately implemented. Careful attention to the impact of the EMR on clinical workflows, in order to take full advantage of the potential of the EMR to improve patient care, is the key lesson from our experience in the deployment and use of these systems.

THE EVALUATION OF SCIENTIFIC PAPER TRAINING PROGRAM FOR PUSBANGTENDIK KEMDIKBUD TRAINERSAbtractThis research is aimed at evaluating the programs of education and training of scientific papers (KTI training) for trainers in Pusbangtendik Kemdikbud. This research used an evaluative method of Kirkpatrick model. This study involved 32 trainers. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires, observation, documentation study, and interview. The result shows that, first, there are only three levels of KTI Training implemented according to the regulation, plans and fulfillment of the evaluation criteria’; the three levels are reaction, learning, and behaviour levels. Second, KTI Training held by Pusbangtendik Kemdikbud still has not significantly showed any impact towards the individual and work units. Therefore, it is recommended for KTI Training program to continue with the improvement efforts on the impact level of KTI Training.Kata kunci: evaluation, KTI training, trainer
