Two polymers, linear P1 and cross-linked P2, are employed in anion sensing. P1 exhibits fluorescence sensing of HPPi with a detection limit of about 1.63 ppm in aqueous DMSO. P2 exhibits selective naked-eye detection of PPi/HPPi via an indicator displacement assay (IDA).

We designed a near-infrared ratiometric (2.1 to 15.3, I608/I735) fluorescent probe with a quick response (20 s) based on cyanine polyene derivatives. This probe can detect endogenous hypochlorous acid in HepG-2 cells and determine the hypochlorous acid content in 84 disinfectant and other actual samples.
