The image of the retail brand and the price image of the retailer are of significant importance for achieving a competitive advantage and long-term strengthening of the overall image. Retailers’ slogans should reflect their overall strategy and facilitate and consolidate the desired positioning in the minds of customers, ie consumers. The paper studies retailers with predominantly food products, i.e., high-turnover products. Retailers who sell products of different brands find it more difficult to manage and control the positioning of their brand, and the price image also plays a significant role in this. This paper aims to investigate and compare consumer perception of retailers’ slogans and their price image. A primary survey was conducted with persons participating in the purchase of groceries for their household and included the top five retailers in the Croatian market. The results showed that the slogan of retailers can play an important role in the successful management of the price image. The compliance of the perception of the price image of retailers by the respondents with the associations of their slogans to the price level was noted. Finally, it is concluded that the harmonization of all elements of the retail marketing mix facilitates and strengthens the desired positioning in the minds of consumers, and thus the price image.

Successful management of savannas is challenging and requires knowledge of the causes and consequences of the spatial arrangement of the trees. In savannas, trees are often aggregated, and the ability of trees within the clumps to survive fires plays a significant role in determining the savannas landscape dynamics. Whether or not a tree survives a fire is often dependent on the nature of their interactions with neighboring trees, positive or negative. In cases where disturbances are episodic, detecting these interactions is only going to be possible through long-term studies. Data reported here, from twenty-five years of annual tree censusing of a large grid-plot in a frequently burned savanna, showed consistent neighbor facilitated survival, irrespective as to whether the neighbors were conspecifics or heterospecifics. The positive interactions likely involve the reduction of both herbaceous and woody fuel in denser sites, and possibly mycorrhizal sharing among nearby trees.

Kata kunci: diagnosis dan tata laksana osteomielitisAbstract: Infection in bone and joint is still a challenging case. It gives a lot of problems and frustration to the physician and patient. The successful antibiotic therapy in most infectious diseases is abortive to achieve in bone and joint infections because the different characteristic in anatomy and physiology of these structures. Therefore, treatment strategy, including non operative and operative techniques is required to deal with such conditions. The basic principle to achieve a successful management of osteomyelitis in general is correct initial diagnosis including investigation for microbiological and pathological examinations to allow the proper and long term lasting therapy of antibiotic. For that reason, it is required to have the basic understanding in dealing with this issue, obvious and updated. It is commited to review the pathophysiology, the diagnosis, and the management of osteomyelitis in order to presents basic facilities in dealing with osteomyelitis. Keywords: osteomyelitis diagnosis and management

Assisting families facing a death necessitates constant reevaluation of each family's adaptation to the illness. Protracted terminal illness is particularly difficult because the prolonged stress, suffering, and pain may be much more difficult to cope with than the death itself. Successful management requires acknowledging the families' emotions, assuring them that their responses are normal, and providing them a balanced perspective through supportive, honest, and open communication. In so doing, the pediatrician can help families predict reactions, manage problems, and avoid long-term psychological consequences.

The implications of all these changes are becoming clearer for HR development, education, and training functions. These changes will make it easier to share information and optimize knowledge creation. They will affect the continuing evolution of the workforce because access to the Internet and a laptop are no longer enough for successful management of a distributed team. Keeping up with change effectively is an important part of a company’s long-term plan. Forward-looking organizations will implement strategies to maximize the benefits of these changes and soften the negative effects. Well-managed distributed teams can be an integral part of a company’s strategy and can provide major benefits to the company.

SCD is defined as unexpected death due to cardiac causes that occurs within 1 hour of acute symptoms. SCD can be reversed with the use of an ICD. These devices now can be implanted by catheter techniques, obviating thoracotomy. SCD is preventable. The incidence of SCD can be significantly reduced by addressing the fundamental pathophysiology of SCD, which primarily is CAD. Our combined and aggressive implementation of preventive regimens to reduce the risk of cardiac events will save lives. These measures include diet, weight reduction, smoking cessation, regular exercise, and therapeutic drugs. Amiodarone, although effective in preventing lethal ventricular arrhythmias, has not matched the long-term results of the ICD in the successful management of SCD.
