Abstract Carpenter CTS-BD30P alloy is a powder metal processed, air-hardening, martensitic stainless steel that offers corrosion resistance comparable with Type 440C stainless, combined with excellent toughness and wear resistance attributed to a high concentration of vanadium carbides.
