 The design and construction of a device prototype for a water level measurement system in a tank and controlling a number of garden light analogies has been carried-out and the prototype can be integrated into smarthome system. Three topics are discussed in this paper, including the manufacture, programming, and performance measurement of device prototypes. The formation of prototype of the device is done through wiring integration between electronic devices, in order to obtain the hardware handshacking. Programming the prototype of device is done through the creation of algorithms and preparation of syntax, in order to obtain the software handshacking. The performance of the prototype of device is measured when integrated into the Smarthome system, in order to obtain the hardware and software handshacking. The performance of prototype of the device when monitoring in the form of information about the water level in the water tank with 3 (three) conditions, namely the criteria of "empty", "medium", and "full", while the control in the form of information about the operation of ON/OFF of the LED as an analogy to the lamp garden are done for 3 (three) positions, namely position #1, #2, and #3. The manufactured subsystem prototype can be integrated into the smarthome system when a validation test is performed. Prototype of the device for monitoring and control based-on web that can be integrated into the smarthome system.

This paper presents a novel linear switch reluctance machine (LSRM) with segmental stator. The principle of the presented machine is given and compared to the well-known teeth type linear switch reluctance machine. Because the presented machine incorporates a simple concentric winding and concrete ferrite-magnetic segmentations, it features unique magnetic circuit compared to teeth type linear reluctance machine. It is found that the presented linear reluctance machine gains favorable superiority over the teeth type linear reluctance machine in terms of high force density, high reliability and low cost. Different topologies of the presented machine are given and both their merits and demerits are discussed.

This paper proposes the design and performance evaluation of a miniaturized continuous hopping robot RHop for unstructured terrain. The hopping mechanism of RHop is realized by an optimized geared symmetric closed-chain multi-bar mechanism that is transformed from the eight-bar mechanism, and the actuator of RHop is realized by a servo motor and the clockwork spring, thereby enabling RHop to realize continuous hopping while its motor rotates continuously only in one direction. Comparative simulations and experiments are conducted for RHop. The results show that RHop can realize better continuous hopping performance, as well as the improvement of energy conversion efficiency from 70.98% to 76.29% when the clockwork spring is applied in the actuator. In addition, comparisons with some state-of-the-art hopping robots are conducted, and the normalized results show that RHop has a better energy storage speed.

The present work addresses the development of a pneumatically driven manufacturing cell for low cost automation applications. This cell can be used in innovative applications as a low cost alternative to increase production and quality in industry. The state of the art shows that technological advances in computing have made possible a drop in equipment prices, making them more accessible. The aim of this work is to develop automation through a classic methodology for a manufacturing cell to minimize errors and facilitate the sequential logic conception. This experimental prototype has been developed at the UNIJUI with financial support by public organizations and companies. Pneumatic actuator used in bench driven has the following advantages: its maintenance is easy and simple, is of relatively low cost, self-cooling properties, and good power density (power/dimension rate), and is fast acting with high acceleration and installation flexibility. However, there are difficulties of control logic due to the complex systems. The sequential controller strategy design considers the pneumatic system, experimental results, and performance of the proposed control strategy.
