We aimed to present a case with abdominal wall endometriosis following cesarean section in this case report.
A 32 year old 39 weeks pregnant woman with G2P1 was admitted to gynaecology clinic with abdominal lump and pain in the midline. Her physical examination included a hard and painful palpable subcutaneous mass of 4x5 cm size in the midline of the abdomen which was semisolid and irreducible.
Under general anesthesia, the mass on the rectus muscle was excised with the healthy tissue around with the diagnosis of endometriosis during cesarean section and the pathological diagnosis was reported as endometriosis.
Surgical excision is the best treatment method in abdominal wall endometriosis.

AbstractMothers commonly feel pain after cesarean sections. One way to reduce pain is by implementing Benson Relaxation Technique. This scientific work aimed to examine the implementation of Benson Relaxation Technique in post cesarean section mothers to reduce pain. The study was a literature review of three articles taken from Google Scholar with the keywords “Cesarean Section”, “pain” and “Benson Relaxation”, in the form of fulltext articles, published during 2015 -2020. The respondent of the three articles were mostly multiparaous mothers <35 years old. The result of the analysis showed the average value of pain before being given the intervention was 5,39% and after the intervention was 3,01%. In conclusion, Benson Relaxation Technique could reduce pain in post-cesarean section mothers. Therefore health workers are expected to implement Benson Relaxation Technique as an alternative treatment to reduce pain of post-cesarean section mothers.

Although the incidence of retained surgical items (RSIs) is low, it is nevertheless an important preventable cause of patient injury that can ultimately lead to the patient's death and to subsequent high medical and legal costs. Unintentional RSI is the cause of 70% of re-interventions, with a morbidity of 80% and mortality of 35%. The most common RSIs are sponges or gauze (gossypiboma or textiloma), while retained surgical instruments and needles are rare. Perioperative counting of equipment and materials is the most common method of screening for RSIs, while a diagnosis can later be confirmed by the clinical appearance and by imaging studies. We present a rare case of a 43-year-old patient who was admitted to our hospital because of two retained needles following a cesarean section, despite several subsequent laparotomies. One needle had been removed previously, but in addition to the remaining needle, we also removed a retained gauze. The diagnosis of RSIs is extremely important, and safe surgical practices including the addition of new imaging technologies should be encouraged to detect RSIs.

Chylous ascites has multiple etiologies including malignancies, liver cirrhosis, intraperitoneal infections, and trauma. It is rarely reported in pregnancy. We report a case of chylous ascites noted at the time of cesarean section performed at 35 weeks of gestation on a patient with preeclampsia and suspected placental abruption. The diagnosis and treatment of chylous ascites as well as the pregnancy outcome are presented. A literature review of chylous ascites in pregnancy is discussed as well.
