Abstract Background Breast augmentation with implants continues to be the most popular aesthetic surgical procedure performed worldwide. Fat grafting may improve the results of breast augmentation and breast reconstruction with implants. However, fat grafting to the breast with implants carries the risk of implant puncture. To our best knowledge this is the first case in which polyurethane implant puncture during fat grafting is described. Case presentation We report multiple bilateral implant punctures with the cannula during fat grafting in a patient who previously underwent breast reconstruction with polyurethane implants. Conclusions Implants that promote tissue ingrowth may be more prone to puncture with the cannula during fat grafting. Specific planning and surgical maneuvers decrease the risk of implant puncture. Introduction: Liposarcoma is the most common soft tissue sarcoma, but it is relatively scarce in the head and neck. The metastatic liposarcoma is more infrequent than the primary one. Case Presentation: Here is presented a suspected case of metastatic liposarcoma in the inferior alveolar nerve canal in a 40-year-old female patient with a chief complaint of the chin and lower lip numbness and medical history of liposarcoma in the thigh. The present study was a case report for metastatic liposarcoma in the head and neck regions, according to the English language literature found in PubMed and Google Scholar. The search was performed using the keywords "Metastatic Liposarcoma" and "Head" and "Neck". Conclusions: According to the findings, the reported case may be the first case of the metastasis of liposarcoma in the inferior alveolar nerve canal. Ominous signs, such as numbness, should be considered in patients with a history of cancer, due to their warning for metastasis or recurrence of the tumor.

This case report outlines a novel conservative surgical approach to the management of a unicystic ameloblastoma with the use of marsupialisation, enucleation, cryotherapy and orthodontic extrusion to enable successful treatment without neurological damage or deformity. It has been increasingly recognized that conservative treatment of unicystic ameloblastomas, instead of wide local excision, can reduce morbidity whilst maintaining an acceptably low recurrence rate. Several case series have also demonstrated orthodontic extrusion of impacted third molars in moving the apex of the roots away from the inferior alveolar nerve. This is possibly the first case report of the combination of these two procedures in an adult with a large unicystic ameloblastoma. CPD/Clinical Relevance: This is not an infrequently seen neoplasia: this paper therefore has the opportunity to inform management of this condition amongst clinicians.

Background: Binasal Occlusion (BNO) is a clinical technique used by many neurorehabilitative optometrists in patients with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and increased visual motion sensitivity (VMS) or visual vertigo. BNO is a technique in which partial occluders are added to the spectacle lenses to suppress the abnormal peripheral visual motion information. This technique helps in reducing VMS symptoms (i.e., nausea, dizziness, balance difficulty, visual confusion). Case Report: A 44-year-old AA female presented for a routine eye exam with a history of mTBI approximately 33 years ago. She was suffering from severe dizziness for the last two years that was adversely impacting her ADLs. The dizziness occurred in all body positions and all environments throughout the day. She was diagnosed with vestibular hypofunction and had undergone vestibular therapy but reported little improvement. Neurological exam revealed dizziness with both OKN drum and hand movement, especially in the left visual field. BNO technique resulted in immediate relief of her dizziness symptoms. Conclusion: To our knowledge, this is the first case that illustrates how the BNO technique in isolation can be beneficial for patients with mTBI and vestibular hypofunction. It demonstrates the success that BNO has in filtering abnormal peripheral visual motion in these patients.
