Abstract Lead free hybrid halide perovskite (CH3NH3)3Bi2Br9 has been successfully synthesized by mechano-chemical method. The microstructure analysis by Rietveld’s refinement method revealed that the crystal belongs to trigonal system with space group P3 ̅m1. The obtained microstructural parameters are well in agreement with the previously published data. Temperature-dependent ac conductivity, impedance spectroscopy, and complex dielectric properties have been investigated in detail. The negative temperature coefficient of resistance behaviour reveals the semiconducting nature of the materials. The complex impedance spectroscopy also supports the semiconducting nature of the sample with activation energy for conduction ~0.38 eV.

The 3 at% Al doped ZnO thin films were deposited on p-Si substrate with a native SiO2 layer by spray pyrolysis method. Low temperature conduction behaviors were studied by analysis of impedance spectroscopy and low temperature ac conductivity. The results of impedance spectroscopy showed that the grain boundaries contributed to the resistivity of Al doped ZnO/SiO2/p-Si heterojunction. The calculated activation energy was 0.073 eV for grain boundaries. The equivalent circuit to demonstrate the electrical properties of Al doped ZnO/SiO2/p-Si heterojunction was a series connection of two parallel combination circuits of a resistor and a universal capacitor. Low temperature ac conductivity measurements indicated that the conductivity increased with temperature. Low temperature conductivity mechanism was electron conductivity, and the activation energy was 0.086 eV.

Electrical dielectric spectra and alternating current (ac) conductivity of blended poly (N-vinlycarbazole) (PVK) with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) at different temperature are investigated. The polymer blends were prepared by dissolving in dimethylformamide (DMF) using drop casting method and further dried in vacuum oven. The dielectric and ac conductivity of each sample was investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) method. Dielectric permittivity studies revealed that there are significant changes in the spectra at different temperature. The ac conductivity was further analyzed by using universal power law. The hopping parameter was calculated by using correlated barrier hopping model.
