Abstract In the current research, the sensitivity analysis of N alike in parts covered photovoltaic thermal compound parabolic concentrator collectors integrated single-slope solar distiller unit is performed and examined. The analysis is done using computational programming in matlab (month: May and location: New Delhi). The parametric values of potable water and DC electric power outputs have been figured for different values of mass flow rate (MFR), number of collectors (N), packing factor (PF), and water depth (WD). Elaborative observations says that the value of potable water output declines and DC electric power output increases with the increase in MFR for the considered values of N, PF, and WD. Also the values of DC electric power increases by 81.63% if packing factor is increased from 0.4 to 0.6 for the considered values of MFR, N, and WD. Based on the results of all the analysis, sensible and effective conclusions are made.

An experimental study of fluoride (F) accumulation in Abelmoschus esculentus var. Soh-198 and its effect on the growth and crop yield was conducted in a pot experiment. Eight different concentrations of F in the water were used for irrigation ranging from 2 to 14 ppm with distilled water as the control. Potentiometric determinations of the F content in different parts of the plant were made 45, 60, and 120 days after sowing the seeds (first, second, and third harvest, respectively). At the third harvest the highest mean plant part concentrations of F were recorded with 14 ppm F in the irrigation water: 9.0638 mg/kg in the roots, 5.6896 mg/kg in shoot, 4.5348 mg/kg in leaf and 3.563 mg/kg in fruit.

In this paper, Ca-based sorbent, Ca(OH)2 and CaCO3, was modified with different concentration of KMnO4 and their mercury adsorption capability in the flue gas was experimentally conducted by using a lab-scale multi-phase flow reactor system developed by Shanghai University of Electric Power, and the result showed that the removal efficiency of flue gas mercury of Ca-based sorbent was greatly improved with modification by different concentration of KMnO4, and the removal efficiencies were 80.92%,85.38%,82.35%,83.51% and 89.84% respectively. The removal efficiencies of Ca(OH)2 modified with KMnO4 is increased significantly may be because strong oxidation of KMnO4 made Hg0 convert into oxidized mercury, Hg2 +, which is easier to be removed, as well as, the modification by KMnO4 may change the surface properties of Ca(OH)2 so that it became more active to capture mercury in the flue gas.
