This approach is used often by multinational construction companies. The article describes the context of the issue of BIM and its use in the management of real estate.

Abstract As part of property management, there is a constant increase in operating costs, whether they are new or old buildings. The amount of costs and their growth is related, among other things, to the use of space, the provision of services, the optimization of the working environment and the optimal functionality of the technological parts of the property. In the case of large properties or building complexes, it is therefore a separate branch of Facility Management. As part of the ongoing digitization in the field of construction, the development and implementation of facility management for the subsequent management of the building is also accelerating. There is currently several commercially available software that can be used as an effective tool for organizing, planning, and improving facility processes. The main goal of the work is to conduct a survey of existing and available software for facility management (CAFM) in the market environment of the Czech Republic and compare its functions, working environment in relation to the possibility of use in the construction company environment.

This article introduces results of inquiry in corporate social responsibility conducted among construction companies in the Czech Republic in 2017. Its main themes include specifics of application of the CSR concept in the practice of the construction industry and effects of selected factors on the level of involvement of Czech construction companies in CSR activities. The results of the inquiry clearly indicate that despite the high level of knowledge of the CSR concept among the construction companies reaching 65 % the overall activities across the CSR pillars are scarce. The statistical test results show that large companies working with the concept of business ethics are more engaged in CSR activities. Growing size of the construction company is connected with activity increase in the social pillar. On the other hand, strategic planning hardly affects the company involvement in the CSR concept. Also the length of activity of the construction company on the market only affects CSR activity level within the environmental pillar.

Abstract Historically, construction has always been one of the key sectors for state economic production. It has undergone developments over the years closely related to the world economic situation. The Czech Statistical Office, which processes annual analyses of construction production and describes market development resulting from the analysis of the construction industry deals with the development of economic sectors in the Czech Republic. A set of financial indicators which provide information on the overall market situation is annually published as a part of the research of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic in the form of a corporate sector financial analysis. The performance of construction companies can be measured by various indicators. The most important performance indicator is the return on sales. This financial analysis ratio is quarterly published as a statistic within the construction sector in the national statistics published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The aim of the research described in the article is to compare the performance development of construction companies operating in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. 12 samples of construction companies (4 samples representing the category of small, medium-sized, and large companies) were chosen for comparison. Their return on sales was calculated on the basis of financial statements in the 2013 – 2019 period. This value was plotted in the development trend, which was subsequently compared with the national statistics. The overall comparison of the performance development of construction companies, which was quantified using macroeconomic indicators, was carried out in the South Moravian Region. The macroeconomic indicators of the South Moravian Region were also compared with the national indicators provided by the Czech Statistical Office.
