In  this article, we tried to perform the drawing of forest maps, together with  the calculations involved, automatically by means of relatively simple aids.      The computer unit used is an office computer Olivetti P203. As an example  the growing stock (in m3/ha) was mapped out. The proper inventory in the field is done  according to the classical method by means of a previously fixed network of  squares (70,7 m x 70,7 m), which corresponds to two plots a ha.     The quantity which is measured and mapped out (in this case the growing  stock) is in a similar form not very useful in mapping. Therefore a division  in classes (Ku) numbered from 0 to 9, is set up. An appropriate program  calculates for a certain number of points within this elementary square, to which  class they have to be assigned, whereas the typewriter prints the  corresponding code number on the right place.     Fig. 1 and the formulas (1), (2) and (3) represent the principle o[ the  calculations while fig. 2A and B reproduce the results printed by the  typewriter for a elementary square of respective 1” X 1” and 2” X 2”. The  whole of similar network of squares eventually results in a basical document,  on which the existing forest map with an adapted scale is laid (see appendix  3) and the class limits are drawn.     If desirable, the scale may be adapted when the forest map under discussion  is definitely reproduced.

Besides being one of the efforts to have texts transformed into Indonesian,this article also aims at studying and describing the pitutur, or values reflectinggood character, in the Javanese text Tiyang Tani lan Tikus.The text Tiyang Tani lan Tikus (TTT) is one of the texts contained in thecodex Serat Dongeng Warni-Warni and belongs to the category of literarymanuscripts. The codex is part of a collection stored at the library of Sana Budaya,Yogyakarta, given the code number PB C 154 71 Rol. 144 No. 13. The manuscriptis in prose using Javanese orthography. It tells a story but the time of its writing andthe name of the person who copied it in writing are not mentioned. However, inview of the condition of the paper used, it could be estimated that it was written inthSurakarta early in the 20 century.The essential values of good character contained in the story of TiyangTani lan Tikus are of (1) simplicity in life, (2) empathy, (3) softness of heart, (4)loyalty or faithfulness, (5) spirit of togetherness, (6) love toward others, and (7)frugality. All those values could be developed into material for the teaching ofvalues to children. This is an important matter because, in one’s development,childhood is a sensitive period for the optimum development of somepsychological aspects if the environment could give adequate stimulation. Storiesor fables told to children could become a means of stimulating the development ofsome psychological aspects of children so that they could hopefully gain theuppermost boundary of their range of potential development.Keywords: Javanese classical fables, values of good character

The exercise held at Brussels Airport was carried out by inexperienced personnel to highlight the most common errors and shortcomings of an existing disaster plan.INCIDENT COMMUNICATIONOnce an aircraft is known to be in trouble, all the nearby fire brigades are alerted by means of the unique call number 900 and move to take up their stand-by position close to the landing point. The Military Hospital is also alerted and sends out a liaison car, with a doctor among its occupants. This car joins the stand-by position. Once the aircraft has crashed, the fire engines rush to the site and all the major university hospitals and the Military Hospital are notified by the same 900-code number. Disaster teams arrive by road.This report is almost exclusively limited to aspects of rescue, triage, on-site stabilization, and evacuation of the casualties.

From a critical and transformative approach, this essay presents inputs and relevant conclusions obtained during the first stage of the project Construyendo una propuesta de implementación del Programa Maestros Comunitarios (PMC), Code number 0166-15 DEB-UNA (UNA, DEB, s. f.), conducted in 2016. Considering our perspective as researchers and professors at División de Educación Básica, the paper addresses a current topic within the socio-educative field to face challenges of contemporary educational models in formal and non-formal areas of elementary education in the Costa Rican context. Our purpose is that students and teachers of the career program Pedagogía con énfasis en I y II ciclos de la Educación General Básica have an overview of the national, social, and educational reality in an attempt to involve them in applying pedagogical actions towards finding a solution to school dropouts at Escuela Finca Guararí, Heredia, Costa Rica. The essay describes the experience of teaching education students and their socio-educational action with the focus on the systematization of the experience in the initial stage of the project. Furthermore, the paper connects with emerging strategic knowledge areas at División de Educación Básica (DEB), such as social and community pedagogy in the context of the National University (UNA) of Costa Rica. It takes over a route already traced at DEB, which proposes more flexible and alternative pedagogic formats to promote educational equity and diversity issues. The paper describes the project background and a theoretical framework, as well as aspects that have been shared by the protagonist actors along the process: students-teachers, host teachers, supervisor professors, school children, and their parents at Escuela Finca Guararí. Conclusions address main results and facts during 2016 in order to show the viability of the project, which is conducted from a public university. Finally, the article also includes an overview of the project’s future in terms of its implementation in the Costa Rican context.

ABSTRACT: The Rekso Pustoko Mangkunegaran Library has various types of historical manuscripts, covering history from ancient to modern periods. The existence of these collections is certainly very useful for writing history, especially the history of Java. Unfortunately, there are still many historical researchers in Indonesia who use colonial archival sources such as Besluit, Algemeen Verslag, Memorie van Overgave and documents such as Staatsblad, Rijksblad and Regeering Almanac instead of using existing historical manuscripts. This is due to the difficulties experienced by historical researchers in reading manuscripts which in terms of material are written by hand and use Javanese language and letters. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to catalog the manuscripts. The catalog of historical manuscripts in addition to containing the manuscript code number also contains a synopsis of the contents of the manuscript. This, in addition to making it easier for researchers to find manuscripts, also helps in understanding the contents of historical manuscripts from the Rekso Pustoko Mangkunegaran collection. The purpose of this service is to catalog the historical manuscripts of the Rekso Pustoko Mangkunegaran collection.   ABSTRAK: Perpustakaan Rekso Pustoko Mangkunegaran mempunyai berbagai jenis manuskrip sejarah, meliputi sejarah dari periode kuno hingga modern. Keberadaan koleksi-koleksi ini tentu sangat bermanfaat bagi penulisan sejarah terutama sejarah Jawa. Sayangnya, masih banyak peneliti sejarah di Indonesia yang lebih banyak menggunakan sumber arsip kolonial seperti Besluit, Algemeen Verslag, Memorie van Overgave maupun dokumen seperti Staatsblad, Rijksblad dan Regeering Almanak dibandingkan memanfaatkan manuskrip sejarah yang ada. Hal ini dikarenakan kesulitan yang dialami peneliti sejarah dalam membaca manuskrip yang dari segi material ditulis dengan tangan serta menggunakan bahasa dan huruf Jawa. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini diperlukan upaya katalogisasi manuskrip. Katalogisasi manuskrip sejarah selain berisi nomor kode manuskrip juga berisi sinopsis dari isi manuskrip. Hal ini selain mempermudah peneliti dalam menemukan manuskrip juga sekaligus membantu dalam memahami isi manuskrip sejarah koleksi Rekso Pustoko Mangkunegaran. Tujuan dilakukannya pengabdian ini adalah untuk membuat katalog manuskrip sejarah koleksi Rekso Pustoko Mangkunegaran.
