A second-order non-linear discrete trajectory smoother is coupled with conventional control law for servo-control of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs). Conventional control relies on three closed loops with linear proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers and gives an undesirable performance under the mismatch. of system parameters and load conditions. To overcome this drawback, a discrete-time second-order non-linear trajectory smoother is applied for the control of a PMSM. The second-order non-linear trajectory smoother is a non-linear variable structure system (VSS) catering for smooth trajectory generation for a motion control system. The trajectory smoother guarantees robustness against a change of system parameters and load conditions. Simulation and experimental studies are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

The author’s vision of the problem of long-term forecasting in education is presented in the article. The modern education, going beyond the limits of class-lesson learning system is gaining more and more territory in direct and figurative meanings. Its non-linear trajectory of movement and rhythm is a process that occurs by the model of Dispars - the principle of nomadic vital activity. The author is of the opinion that only a combination of forecasting with strategic and indicative planning as in Foresight technology may in a certain extent contribute to the state regulation of the education system.

The present paper will discuss various models for calculation of vortex induced vibrations (VIV) of free span pipelines, and present a new strategy for such analyses. Applications of traditional models are presented and their limitations discussed. The new approach is based on the combination of an empirical linear frequency domain model, and a non-linear time domain structural model. The first step is to carry out the VIV analysis according to linear response theory, and next introduce the calculated hydrodynamic forces to the non-linear structural model. The benefit from using the non-linear model is to describe stresses at the shoulders more accurately, which is important since fatigue damage in many cases will be largest in this area. The conclusion is that the interaction between pipe and seafloor is crucial for accurate stress prediction, and that a non-linear time domain model will give the most accurate result.

This paper presents a new strategy of analysis and compensation of non-linear error. Non-linear error is an important source of machining error in multi-axis numerical controlled machining and it is unavoidable. In view of tool positions optimization in five-axis CNC machining of complex surface, this paper presents a strategy for non-linear error compensation in five-axis machining: Firstly, non-linear error caused by the change of tool axis vector is analyzed and the non-linear error model is established, in order to get the maximum non-linear error of interpolation segment; Then, the tool position that meets the machining accuracy is obtained; Finally, Simulation and analysis of the model show that the proposed method is effective and greatly improves the geometric accuracy.
