AbstractWhile poverty is widely accepted to be an inherently multi-dimensional concept, it has proved very difficult to develop measures that both capture this multi-dimensionality and facilitate comparison of trends over time. Structural equation modelling appears to offer a solution to this conundrum and is used to exploit the British Household Panel Study to create a multi-dimensional measure of poverty. The analysis reveals that the decline in poverty in Britain between 1991 and 2003 was driven by falls in material deprivation, but more especially by reduced financial stress, particularly during the early 1990s. The limitations and potential of the new approach are critically discussed.

AbstractWorkplace bullying is, by definition, a gradually escalating process, theorized to occur from psychosocial stressors when there is a lack of management intervention in escalating conflicts, and a lack of fair and robust conflict management procedures in the organization. Based on national probability survey data gathered in 2015–2016 from the official Norwegian employee-register, we investigated how a strong perceived climate for conflict management may buffer the escalation of workplace bullying over time. A total of 1197 respondents participated in the study at two measuring points. The average age at baseline was 45.20 years (SD = 9.98), and the sample consisted of 52.1% women and 47.9% men. Structural equation modelling in Mplus 7.4 was used to test the construct validity and the study’s hypothesis. As expected, the analyses showed that a strong conflict management climate buffered the escalation of workplace bullying. Exposure to bullying behaviour at T1 largely explained (47%) new and increased instances of bullying behaviour at T2, but only for those employees working in what they perceived as a weak conflict management climate. We conclude that a strong conflict management climate neutralizes the escalation and development of workplace bullying.

This study aims to further promote the understanding of the antecedents of the acceptance and use of digital wellness technologies among elderly people through a follow-up to our two prior studies, one which examines the potential longer-term temporal changes in the use intention of digital wellness technologies and its antecedents in the case of the young elderly segment and physical activity logger applications. We base this examination theoretically on UTAUT2 and empirically on survey data that is collected from 92 Finnish young elderly users of a physical activity logger application in three subsequent time points and analysed with partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). We find that the initial strong decline in the scores of the antecedent constructs and use intention becomes weaker as the construct scores stabilise over time, whereas especially the effects of performance expectancy and effort expectancy on use intention remain relatively unstable.

Tujuan pokok penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh bukti empirik mengenai pembentukan organisasi cerdas pada lembaga pendidikan tinggi. Paradigma baru organisasi adalah keharusan untuk menyesuaikan dengan lingkungan sehingga memerlukan perubahan melalui kepemimpinan dan demokratisasi. Lebih jauh, kita ingin melihat bagaimana pengaruh organisasi cerdas terhadap sikap profesional dosen.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode survei penjelasan pada Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di D KI Jakarta. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri dari data sekunder yaitu melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Teknik Analisis data menggunakan  Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan pendekatan Path Analysis (Analisis Jalur).Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan hasil penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan beberapa hal sebagai berikut: (1) Tanggung jawab pimpinan memiliki pengaruh yang sangat signifikan terhadap organisasi cerdas, (2) Iklim demokrasi memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap organisasi cerdas, (3) Tanggung jawab pimpinan tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Iklim demokrasi, dan (4) Organisasi cerdas memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap sikap profesional.

Salah satu fungsi utama dari perpustakaan adalah pengemasan dan penyebaran informasi, bukanlah penciptaan informasi. Sehingga perpustakaan dituntut untuk memberikan layanan informasi yang lebih baik dan tepat guna. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan dan loyalitas serta pengaruh dari kepuasan terhadap loyalitas pengunjung di perpustakaan Daerah Kabupaten Sumenep. Sampel yang diteliti sebanyak 200 orang yang terdiri dari Siswa, Mahasiswa dan Umum. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis structural equation modelling (SEM). Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin baik kualitas pelayanan, maka semakin meningkat kepuasan pengunjung serta pengunjung akan semakin royal terhadap perpustakaan Daerah Kabupaten Sumenep. Key Word :      Perpustakaan, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), Kualitas Pelayanan, Kepuasan Dan Loyalitas
