A prerequisite for a Global Positioning System (GPS) attitude determination is to calculate baselines between antennae with accuracy at the millimetre level simultaneously. However, in order to have a low cost attitude determination system, a set of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) receivers with separate clocks are used. In this case, if the receiver clocks are not precisely synchronized, the baseline vector between antennae will be calculated from the GPS signals received at different times. This can be a significant error source for high-kinematic applications. In this paper, two equivalent and effective approaches are developed to compensate this significant bias for baseline estimation and attitude determination. Test results using real airborne GPS data demonstrate that the receiver time misalignment between the two receivers can result in a 5 cm baseline offset for an aircraft with a 50 m/s velocity; the corresponding attitude errors can reach about 0·50° in yaw and 0·10° in pitch respectively for the attitude determination system with a baseline length of 3·79 m. With the proposed methods, these errors can be effectively eliminated.

Recently, indoor localization has witnessed an increase in interest, due to the potential wide range of using in different applications, such as Internet of Things (IoT). It is also providing a solution for the absence of Global Positioning System (GPS) signals inside buildings. Different techniques have been used for performing the indoor localization, such as sensors and wireless technologies. In this paper, an indoor localization and object tracking system is proposed based on WiFi transmission technique. It is done by distributing different WiFi sources around the building to read the data of the tracked objects. This is to measure the distance between the WiFi receiver and the object to allocate and track it efficiently. The test results show that the proposed system is working in an efficient way with low cost.

As the key components of the receiver in the GPS(Global Positioning System) system, the performance of the antenna has an important impact on the accuracy of navigation and positioning for a GPS receiver. The paper shows a novel microstrip antenna on the basis of the slot loaded method. The simulated results and the experimental test results indicate that the characteristics of impedance and circular polarization, as well as the radiation pattern of the proposed antenna can meet the requirements of the applications of GPS, which provides the theoretical and experimental basis for the practical applications of the proposed antenna.

Walking shark (Hemiscyllium freycineti) was classified in the Genus Hemiscyllium, a nocturnal organism, lives in benthic zone. Walking shark has limited distribution because of its inability to swim across the sea regardless the close range. Based on those information, the survey was conducted to monitor the potential density of walking shark populations at Misool, Raja Ampat, in order to have data of population and the utilization. This research was conducted by applying Snorkeling Visual Census Method along the coastline using Global Positioning System. A number of 58 individuals walking sharks was found during the survey and they varied from around 61-70 cm (the longest) to about 20 cm (the shortest). The most common size was of 31-40 cm. The length of the survey track was 20.003,74 m (20 km) and the observation area was 109.592,69 m2 with a survey track width of 11 m, so that the density of walking sharks was about 5,29 individuals/ha.Walking shark in Misool have not been used either for food consumption or in trade demand. It can be concluded, the level of density of walking sharks in Misool is under low pressure conditions.---Hiu berjalan (Hemiscyllium freycineti) tergolong dalam genus Hemiscyllium, yang merupakan hewan nokturnal yang hidup di dasar perairan.
