In this paper we study approach structures on dcpo's. A dcpo (X, ≤) will be endowed with several other structures: the Scott topology; an approach structure generated by a collection of weightable quasi metrics onX; and a collectionof weights corresponding to the quasi metrics. Understanding the interaction between these structures onXwill eventually lead to some fixed-point theorems for the morphisms in the category of approach spaces, which are called contractions. Existing fixed-point theorems on both monotone and non-monotone maps are obtained as special cases.

AbstractWe prove the existence and uniqueness of fixed points of some generalized contractible operators defined on modular G-metric spaces and also prove the modular G-continuity of such operators. Furthermore, we prove that some generalized weakly compatible contractive operators in modular G-metric spaces have a unique fixed point. Our results extend, generalize, complement and include several known results as special cases.

Using the generalized Caristi's fixed point theorems we prove the existence of fixed points for self and nonself multivalued weaklyw-contractive maps. Consequently, Our results either improve or generalize the corresponding fixed point results due to Latif (2007), Bae (2003), Suzuki, and Takahashi (1996) and others.

Some fixed point theorems for -contractive maps and -contractive maps on a complete metric space are proved. Presented fixed point theorems generalize many results existing in the literature.

The aim of this paper is to obtain some new fixed point theorems for single valued mappings and also for hybrid pair of mappings. Our results extend and generalize well known results due to Aamri and El Moutawakil, Sintunavarat and Kumam, Kadelburg et al., and Kamran; and also generalize and rectify some recent results due to Bisht [On Existence of common fixed points under Lipschitz-Type Mapping pairs with Applications, Numer. Func. Anal. Optim. 38(11), 2017, 1446-1457].

In this paper, the concept of a new ?-generalized quasi metric space is introduced. A number of well-known quasi metric spaces are retrieved from ?-generalized quasi metric space. Some general fixed point theorems in a ?-generalized quasi metric spaces are proved, which generalize, modify and unify some existing fixed point theorems in the literature. We also give applications of our results to obtain fixed points for contraction mappings in the domain of words and to prove the existence of periodic solutions of delay differential equations.

Abstract In [Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 2005: 3045–3055] by Liu et al. the common property (E.A) for two pairs of hybrid maps is defined. Recently, O'Regan and Shahzad [Acta Math. Sin. (Engl. Ser.) 23: 1601–1610, 2007] have introduced a very general contractive condition and obtained some fixed point results for hybrid maps. We introduce a new property for pairs of hybrid maps that contains the property (E.A) and obtain some coincidence and fixed point theorems that extend/generalize some results from the above-mentioned papers.

As an improvement of fuzzy set theory, the notion of soft set was initiated as a general mathematical tool for handling phenomena with nonstatistical uncertainties. Recently, a novel idea of set-valued maps whose range set lies in a family of soft sets was inaugurated as a significant refinement of fuzzy mappings and classical multifunctions as well as their corresponding fixed point theorems. Following this new development, in this paper, the concepts of e-continuity and E-continuity of soft set-valued maps and αe-admissibility for a pair of such maps are introduced. Thereafter, we present some generalized quasi-contractions and prove the existence of e-soft fixed points of a pair of the newly defined non-crisp multivalued maps. The hypotheses and usability of these results are supported by nontrivial examples and applications to a system of integral inclusions. The established concepts herein complement several fixed point theorems in the framework of point-to-set-valued maps in the comparable literature. A few of these special cases of our results are highlighted and discussed.

In this article, we employ the notion of coupled fixed points on a complete b-metric space endowed with a graph to give sufficient conditions to guarantee a solution of system of differential equations with impulse effects. We derive recisely some new coupled fixed point theorems under some conditions and then apply our results to achieve our goal.

We define a new property which contains the property (EA) for a hybrid pair of single- and multivalued maps and give some new common fixed point theorems under hybrid contractive conditions. Our results extend previous ones. As an application, we give a partial answer to the problem raised by Singh and Mishra.

Fixed point theorems for mappings satisfying Geraghty-type contractive conditions are proved in the frame of partial metric spaces, ordered partial metric spaces, and metric-type spaces. Examples are given showing that these results are proper extensions of the existing ones.
